Gordon Hotel Sunday Competition

This week the Gordon Hotel Competition was the Monthly Medal stroke and was taken out by Mick Gray with a nett 64 to also win B Grade. Lachlan Bill 68 and Roy McNair 65 won A and C Grade respectively. The ball rundown also saw Shane Jervis 65, Shane Cooper 66 and Chris Webb 66 grab a ball. Nearest to the pin on the Goulburn Produce 5th went begging this week unbelievably with nobody hitting the green the Tully Park 7th went to Roy McNair and on the Goulburn Workers Club 8th Russ Schmitt showed his class to knock it the closest. Next week the Gordon Hotel Sunday comp is the first round of the Minor Championships that will be two 12 hole rounds that will be played within two 18 hole stroke competitions .

The course is looking and playing great thanks to our devoted band of volunteers. The greens have come back great after all the recent work and will only get better over the coming months. If anybody would like to help around the course speak to a committee member and they will happily find something to suit your availability and skill set.

Tully Park Junior Golf

The young guns of Tully have been tearing up the course recently with the past few months seeing Trent Cooper, Lachlan Bill and Rheannah Webb all stepping up to the plate. Leading the way with several wins in both midweek and Sunday events, Trent has been working steadily on getting his handicap into single figures.
Lachlan recently represented the ACT in the Interstate matchplay event in Adelaide helping them to their best ever placing of 5th by winning a couple of his matches as their number 2 player. Lachlan also managed a sub-par round of 1 under during one of the rounds of the lead up tournament, The Australian Schoolboys Championships. This week he attends the NSW schoolboys championships in Sydney.Rheannah has also been putting in a big effort and making some personal bests on the holes at Tully and we know it won’t be long until she ties
it all together for that magical round we all know she has in her.

The junior coaching sessions return this Saturday from 3 – 4.30pm (winter program) with all players asked to bring $7 to take part in the monthly Par 3 Event, held the first Saturday of each month. This event is open to all golfers (handicapped and non handicapped) and all social players aged 5 to 95. A lot of fun for the whole family so bring someone along and have a hit.
