Sunday Competition

Trent Cooper steered himself to a great round of 41 points off scratch to win the stableford event on Sunday. Ken Wray scored 39 as did Mac Fife, who also took the mystery holes for November on 9 points for the Classic Chemdry 10th, The Agency 15th and Argyle Cleaning 17th holes.  Bill Reid, Russell Lieschke and Gary Spence all returned 38 and Mick Regterschot filled the rundown on 37. John Smith took the double of the nearest the pin on the Workers Club 8th and the drive and pitch for the Carpet Court 16th.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Comp

Alan McDonald crept over the line with a countback win over Chris Ryan and Bryan Norris after they all finished on 25 points last week. Included in the rundown were Beryl Gray on 24 and John Blair on 23. On 22 points were Peter Webster, Tony Clewett, Gary Spence, Lindsay Sergeant and Malcolm Young. The rundown finished on countback to Bryson Plumb on 21.

Ladies

The 2020 A grade Ladies champion is Julia Scamperle with 344 Gross, B Grade winner was Nicole Minney on 421 Gross. Nett winners were Heather Buchanan (300- A grade) and Elsey Slater (289 -B grade). For the yearly awards the Pauline Hall Perpetual winners in a tie were Beryl Howe and Di Schmitt on 48 points and the Medal of Medals Winner is Elsey Slater 67 nett.

D.One chicken run

James Will took the win last week in the D.One chicken run with 21 followed by Jon Gegg 20. The chicken run only has a couple more weeks to go before finishing up for the year and is a great way to get in a game of 9 holes on a Friday afternoon.

Sunday Competition

Thank you to all the players for participating in the Brian Mills Charity Day. $3200 was raised to be shared between the Goulburn Prostate Cancer support group, Bradfordville Public and Cresent Schools.   James Will led the way with a hole in one on the Goulburn Soldiers Club 14th hole to help his teammate Jesse Cao return 56.75 for a win for the day in the mens division. Simon Anable and Brad Griffin also teamed up well to win the social/ mixed division with 60. Second placed teams were Trent Cooper/Jon Gegg on 58.5 and Russ and Di Schmitt on 63.25 and in third were the teams of Ian Peterson / Ken Wray 59.57 and Ned Slater/ Jeanelle Slater  on 64.73. Fourth in the mens were Bruce Dunlop and Alan McDonald.The rundown went to 61.25. Nearest the pins went to Michael Wilson on the Mitre 10 hole and James Will on the 14th. Trent and Jon get their names on the Brian Mills trophy for best Tully team on the day.  Lucky number draws saw W &N Minney take the $100, G Tasker and R Saville $50 each, P Courts and J Cooper $30 each and S Cooper $15.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Comp

Tim Elliott showed his capabilities on his way to 29 points in the 12 hole competition. Mick Regterschot followed up with 26 thenRatna Rankmore and Lindsay Sergeant both on 23. Russell Schmitt, Scott Sherer James Will and Peter Wheeldon each had 22 with Eddie Hawkins 21, Di Schmitt 21 and Cooper Berrell 20 on countback finishing the rundown.

Ladies

Di Schmitt came home strong with a nett 73 to win division 1 last week in the stroke event while Beryl Howe won both division 2 with nett 79 and the division putting with 31. June Spillane won div 1 putting with 26. The rundown included Heather Buchanan 76, Georgina Cook 76, Ratna Rankmore 80 and June Spillane 80.

 

D.One chicken run

Logan Dial blew the competition away with 28 points for 9 holes last Friday in the chicken run. Jeremy Ryan and Hamish Copland were next best on 18 on a countback.

Slater Drafting Par 3

Beryl Gray took out the final Slater Drafting Par 3 for 2020 with a nett 22 round. The rundown included Jeanelle Slater and Wayne Minney each 24, Danny Nicholls, Beryl Howe and James Will each on 26.

Condolences to the Mills family members for the recent passing of Brian Mills, a Tully Park Golf Club life member who had been club captain for 32 years. Condolences also to the family of Debbie Collins for her recent passing.

Sunday Competition

Tim Elliott scored 39 points to lead the way in Sunday’s stableford event. Trent Cooper 37, Ray Turner 36, Russell Schmitt 36, and Mick Gray, Mac Fife, Bill Reid, James Will and Craig Langby all finished with 34 and John Smith on 33 countback made up the rundown.  Nearest the Pin on the Goulburn Soldiers Club hole went to Eddie Hawkins and the drive and Pitch on the Lee and Thomas hole went to Craig Langby.

Bryan Norris had a welcome return to the winners circle last week after a 27 point round for the 12 holes. Graham Tasker 24, Eddie Hawkins, Gordon Rankmore, Elsey Slater and Beryl Gray all had 23. Ratna Rankmore, Mark Berrisford, Lindsay Sergeant and Ned Slater each had 22 and Simon Jiang finished the rundown on 21 on countback.

Ladies

The captain’s team were victorious over the President’s team 112 to 108 last week in the annual Captain v President day. Captain’s winner was Beryl Gray with 33 points and their drive and pitch went to June Spillane. President’s team winner was Beryl Howe on 26 and Ratna Rankmore took their drive and pitch. The rundown included Ratna 25, Georgina Cook 23 and June 23.

D.One chicken run

Bill Reid won last weeks D. One chicken run with 20 points while Blake Butz 18, Jarred Hunt 16 and Shane Wilson 16 all made the rundown. There is only 5 weeks left of this Friday afternoon activity for family and friends.

Slater Drafting Par 3

The next Slater drafting Par 3 is on this Saturday with tee off 7.30am to 12pm. $7/ player and great fun for all new and regular golfers.

Notices:  Sunday Nov 14/15 Charity Day . Prostate Cancer Support – 2 Person Ambrose  charity day is over Nov 14 and 15 to allow more players to socially distance and still help raise funds for local causes. Cost is $15/ player but sorry no luncheon this year but teams can play any time on Saturday or the morning on the Sunday teeing until 9am. Please help us support our local prostate cancer support group and Cresent and Bradfordville schools. The Bi-Rite Xmas Guessing Competition tickets are available with over $700 in prizes to be won. The Mixed Foursome event has been rescheduled to February 20, 2021.

Sunday Competition

The Mexican team event on Sunday saw Mick Regteschot, Angus Regteschot, Tim Elliott and Bill Reid victorious with a combined score of 102. Pushed into second were the teams of Jack Murdoch, Dylan Maddock, Josh Ryrie and James Will and  Chris Elliott, Phil Elliott, Jeremy Harrison and Gary Spence both on 98. Russell Lieschke won the nearest the pin on the Goulburn Soldiers Club hole and Chris Elliott won on the Jewell Builders Hole.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Comp

Rain and competitions kept the player numbers down to 23 but Malcolm Young came out on top with 28 points followed closely by Garry Handley on 27. A gap back to the rest of the field saw Tim Elliott score 24 Bryson Plumb 23, Alan McDonald and Chris Ryan both on 22 and Mick Regteschot 21 on countback make the rundown. Inland course this week due to the river being up.

Ladies

The Ladies Foursome Championships were reduced to 1 round after the heavy weekend and Monday rains and finished with Georgina Cook and Elsey Slater taking out the Gross title with 102 in tough conditions. The nett win went to Heather Buchanan and Ruth Beveridge on 86 with the rundown including the teams of Ratna Rankmore / Beryl Gray 87 and Di Schmitt/ Nicole Minney 87.5.

D.One chicken run

Dejan Nedanoski topped the pool with 21 points in the 9 hole chicken run on Friday with Mitch Phelps next best on 19. Brad Griffin took out third on a countback for his 18 points.
