Sunday Competition

The 4 Ball Aggregate on Sunday was won by the team of Roly Wong and Dean Horne with 69 points. Sam McDonald and Tom James came second on 62. The rundown that went to 58 included the teams of Alan McDonald /Lindsay Sergeant  61 and Mitch Cook/ Andrew Balabka 61.

Mitch Cook won the jackpot Mitre 10 hole as well as the Workers Club 8th. Sam McDonald was nearest the pin on the BC Training 6th, Ray Turner took the Alan Bill Electrical 7th, Russell Schmitt won the Goulburn Soldiers Club 9th and Max Sakiasi took the Goulburn Soldiers Club 14th. The drive and pitch prizes went to Tony McLaughlin for the Lee and Thomas 13th and Greg Granger on the Carpet Court 16th.

Sunday June 28 is a Stroke Monthly Medal

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Competition

Hayden Ward was last weeks 12 hole winner for the Goulburn Soldiers Club voucher with 25 points. Terry Berg and Phil Heath each had 24, Peter Webster and Eddie Hawkins both finished on 23 and Kim Fahey had 22.

Ladies

Tully Ladies played a stroke round last week with Ratna Rankmore the winner on nett 76 for division 1 and Barbara Miller winning division 2 with 74. Georgina Cook led the rundown on 80 and Gail Kennerley was next best on 82. The putting prizes went to Ratna on 31 and Barbara 34.

Tom James and Tony McLaughlin scored a countback win in the 2 person Ambrose event on Sunday for the G.A handicap section with nett 65.25 fending off the team of Lindsay Sergeant/Alan McDonald. Social Winners for the day were Ian Fletcher and Graham Bush. The rundown for the day included the teams of Sam McDonald/ Greg Reid 64.25, Shane Munro/ Wayne James on 65, Chris Ryan / Tom Heath 66.5, Ian Peterson/ Tony Clewett 67 and Mark Ryan/ Gary Spence 67.25.

Kerry Bensley scored 28 points for the win in the Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole competition last week. Ken Wray and John Smith each had 23 followed by Russell Schmitt and Wayne Blay on 21 after a countback.

Georgina Cook was the division 1 winner for the stroke event gross with a score of 103. Lil Ryan took division 2 on 132. The nett prizes went to Gail Kennerley 72 and Frances Miners 84 for divisions 1 and 2 respectively. The rundown for the day included Ratna Rankmore 79 and Beryl Gray 87. Putting prizes went to Ratna Rankmore 32 on countback for division 1 and Lil Ryan 34 for division 2.

Sam McDonald won the long weekend Stableford event with 38 points with Ian Peterson close behind on 37. The ball rundown went to Craig Hussey 36, Luke Wray 35 and Alan Bill Electrical 7th hole nearest the pin winner, Eddie Sivell 34, Tony Mclaughlin 32, Simon Jiang 32 and on 31 Tom James and Roly Wong.

Tom James won the Mystery Hole for his 7 points on the Jeremy Ryan Plumbing 4th, The Agency 15th, and Argyle Cleaning 17th holes. Mick Regterschot won the drive and pitch on  the Lee and Thomas 13th.

Sunday June 14 is an Ambrose event with social divisions. Cost $12/ player. Those without a Golf Australia handicap can play and will be allocated a handicap for the day.

Russell Schmitt stepped into the winners circle last week with 24 points. Wayne Blay, Kim Fahey and Simon Jiang all had 20 points in a competition impacted by inclement weather.

The Tully Ladies played a stableford best 9 on Monday with Maxine McLaughlin scoring 23 points for the division 1 win. Division 2 saw a tie with Beryl Gray and Lil Ryan both scoring 21. Beryl Gray was nearest the pin on the Alan Bill Electrical 7th hole. The rundown included Georgina Cook 21, Barbara Miller 19 and Di Schmitt 18.

Mac Fife and Andrew Balabka totalled 70 for the stableford multiplier on Sunday to just pip Mick Gray and Kerry Bensley on 67. In the rundown were the teams of Simon Jiang and Eddie Sivell 65, Tom James and Tony McLaughlin 54, Ray Turner and John Smith on53 and Eddie Hawkins and Geoff Knight 52. Mick Gray won the Mitre 10mjackpot hole as well as taking the Alan Bill Electrical 7th nearest the pin. Tony McLaughlin (Workers Club 8th) and Glenn Baxter (Goulburn Soldiers Club14th) won the other nearest the pins. Simon Jiang won the Lee and Thomas 13th drive and pitch while Andrew Balabke won the same for the Carpet Court 16th.

Maxine Mclaughlin won the Stroke event last Monday for division 1 with a nett score of 67. Gail Kennerley won division 2 with 70. The rundown saw Beryl Gray score 72 and Georgina Cook make 77. The putting prizes for the day went to Di Schmitt 27 and Beryl Gray 30.

The 2026 Foursome Champions are John Smith and Ray Turner with a gross 161. Overall nett winners were Luke Wray and Greg Granger with 131.5.

Round 2 nett winners were the team of Luke Wray and Greg Granger with 63.5. Runners up were Chris Ryan and Tom Heath 64.5.

The Mitre 10 jackpot hole was won by John Smith, Bill Reid (BC Training 6th) and Dean Horne (Alan Bill Electrical 7th) won the nearest the pins. Teams of Mac Fife/ Bill Reid (Lee and Thomas 13th) and Chris Ryan / Tom Heath (Carpet Court 16th) won the drive and pitch holes.

John Smith took to the podium with 27 points last week ahead of Maxine Mclaughlin and Craig Brown on 25. On 24 for the rundown were Mick McDonald, Scott Sherer and Kim Fahey.

Round 1 of the Ladies Foursome Championships on Monday was won by the team of Maxine McLaughlin and Frances Miners with 69.5 nett. The ball rundown included Gail Kennerley/ Beryl Gray 77 and Ratna Rankmore / Barbara Miller 83.5.

Round 2 on Tuesday saw Ratna Rankmore and Barbara Miller victorious on 69.5 nett and the rundown had Maxine McLaughlin/ Frances Miners 71.5 and Georgina Cook/ Lil Ryan 78.

The 36 hole champions for 2026 were Maxine McLaughlin/ France Miners 208 (gross) and Gail Kennerley/ Beryl Gray 148 (nett)

Greg Granger won Sunday’s stableford event with 38 points as well as taking the jackpot home on the Mitre 10 hole and the Goulburn Soldiers Club nearest the pin 14th. Second for the day was Tony Clewett on 36. He was followed by Craig Hussey on 35 who also won the mystery holes on countback for 8 points on the Priceline 2nd, C L Concrete 10th and Aaron’s Trees 12th . Tom Heath and John Smith each had 34, Gary Spence 33 and on 32 were Dean Horne, Ray Turner and Simon Jiang on countback for the rundown.

Other nearest the pins went to  Ian Baxter (Alan Bill Electrical 7th), Sam Cosgrove (Worker’s Club 8th) and Glenn Baxter (Goulburn Soldiers Club 9th).

Gail Kennerly returned a nett 64 for the Stroke event on Monday to win division 1. Lil Ryan had 68 for the division 2 win. Putting for the day went to Maxine McLaughlin 29 (div 1) and Lil Ryan 34 (div 2). The ball rundown saw Frances Miners score 69 and Barbara Miller finished with 74.

Luke Wray returned a 6 under handicap  62 nett to win the C grade medal and the stroke event for April as well as the nearest the pin for the Goulburn Soldiers Club 9th hole. Bill Reid took the A grade medal with nett 64and the BC Training 6th hole nearest the pin.   Ian Peterson was the scored 65 for the B grade medal. In the rundown were Chris Elliott 66 (jackpot Mitre 10 hole and nearest the pin Alan Bill Electrical 7th), Alan Bill 66, Russell Schmitt 68 (drive and pitch Lee and Thomas 13th), Mac Fife 68 (drive and pitch Carpet Court 16th) Glenn Baxter 69 (Nearest the pin Goulburn Soldiers Club 14th)  and Sam McDonald and Mick Gray 69.

Ladies

Gail Kennerley returned an excellent nett 63 for a win in the division 1 stroke event last week. Beryl Gray also performed well for her nett 63 to take division 2 and the putting prize with 33 putts.  The rundown went to Maxine Mclaughlin 67 (and the putting for Div 1 with 27), Lil Ryan 71, Georgina Cook 73, Frances Miners 76.  This weeks round will be on Tuesday due to the Anzac day holiday on Monday.

The team of Ian Peterson, Don Grimston, Tony Clewett and Ken Wray won the 4 person ambrose on Sunday with a nett score of 53.325. Tom Heath, Chris Ryan, John Smith and Ray Turner came in second on 54.75 followed by Glenn Baxter, Simon Jiang, Tony McLaughlin and Sam McDonald on 55.75.

With the handicap system up and running here are the results from the last 2 weeks.

The week finishing April 8 saw Dean Horne score a win after a countback on 28 points over Tony McLaughlin and Andrew Balabka. On 27 was Mac Fife and Kim Fahey scored 26. Tony Grimston and Craig Fahey each had 25 followed by Ian Baxter, Craig Brown and Phil Heath all on 24.

The week ending April 15 had John Smith lead the way on 27 with Garry Handley on 26. On 25 were Russell Schmitt, Craig Brown and Ray Turner, and on 24 Ken Wray, Tony McLaughlin and Terry Berg. Phil Heath finished the rundown on 23 after a countback..

Ladies

Georgina Cook won division 1 in the stroke event last week with nett 73, Beryl Gray was the division 2 winner with 69 nett and the putting winner with 34. Heather Buchanan won div 1 putting with 30. The ball rundown included  Frances Miners 72 and Lil Ryan 74.
