Tully Park Golf 31/5/2026

Sunday Competition

Chris Ryan won the May Stroke event and the A grade monthly medal, with a nett 66, along with the jackpot on the Mitre 10 hole. Chris Elliott was the B grade winner on countback for his 70. Tony Clewett was the C grade winner on 74 also on countback. Included in the rundown were John Smith 69, Sam McDonald 70, Tom James 72 (and the Goulburn Soldiers Club 9th nearest the pin), Ian Peterson 73 (Lee and Thomas 13 drive and pitch), Mick Gray 73, Doug Stevens 74 and Tom Heath 75. Mitch Cook won the BC Training nearest the pin.

Sunday June 7 is a  Stableford and Mystery Holes for the long weekend.

Membership prices for 2026/7 are to be Full $380, Pensioner $270, Junior $100 and Remote $210. This is a small rise from last year but still great value for all.  These are available from June 1st.

Round 2 of the Kevin and Noeline Peterson Matchplay is to be completed by July 12.

For Euchre players there will be a Euchre afternoon on Saturday June 20. Members and their partners are welcome to put their names down at the clubhouse before then with the event to kick off from 12.45pm.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Competition

Alan Bill took out the top prize of the Goulburn Soldiers Club voucher last week with his 29 points. Craig Hussey was next best on 26 followed by Russell Schmitt and Kim Fahey both on 25. On 23 was Sam Cosgrove then Hayden Ward and Wayne Blay each with 22.

Ladies

The Tully Ladies played a stableford best 9 on Monday with Maxine McLaughlin scoring 23 points for the division 1 win. Division 2 saw a tie with Beryl Gray and Lil Ryan both scoring 21. Beryl Gray was nearest the pin on the Alan Bill Electrical 7th hole. The rundown included Georgina Cook 21, Barbara Miller 19 and Di Schmitt 18.

Sunday Competition

Mac Fife and Andrew Balabka totalled 70 for the stableford multiplier on Sunday to just pip Mick Gray and Kerry Bensley on 67. In the rundown were the teams of Simon Jiang and Eddie Sivell 65, Tom James and Tony McLaughlin 54, Ray Turner and John Smith on53 and Eddie Hawkins and Geoff Knight 52. Mick Gray won the Mitre 10mjackpot hole as well as taking the Alan Bill Electrical 7th nearest the pin. Tony McLaughlin (Workers Club 8th) and Glenn Baxter (Goulburn Soldiers Club14th) won the other nearest the pins. Simon Jiang won the Lee and Thomas 13th drive and pitch while Andrew Balabke won the same for the Carpet Court 16th.

Simon Jiang took home the $25 Goulburn Soldiers Club voucher for his 25 points last week in the 12 hole competition. Phil Heath and Jeff Edwards were next best on 23.  On 22 for the rundown were Tony McLaughlin, Wayne Blay and Hayden Ward.

Ladies

Maxine Mclaughlin won the Stroke event last Monday for division 1 with a nett score of 67. Gail Kennerley won division 2 with 70. The rundown saw Beryl Gray score 72 and Georgina Cook make 77. The putting prizes for the day went to Di Schmitt 27 and Beryl Gray 30.

Sunday Competition

The 2026 Foursome Champions are John Smith and Ray Turner with a gross 161. Overall nett winners were Luke Wray and Greg Granger with 131.5.

Round 2 nett winners were the team of Luke Wray and Greg Granger with 63.5. Runners up were Chris Ryan and Tom Heath 64.5.

The Mitre 10 jackpot hole was won by John Smith, Bill Reid (BC Training 6th) and Dean Horne (Alan Bill Electrical 7th) won the nearest the pins. Teams of Mac Fife/ Bill Reid (Lee and Thomas 13th) and Chris Ryan / Tom Heath (Carpet Court 16th) won the drive and pitch holes.

John Smith took to the podium with 27 points last week ahead of Maxine Mclaughlin and Craig Brown on 25. On 24 for the rundown were Mick McDonald, Scott Sherer and Kim Fahey.

Ladies

Round 1 of the Ladies Foursome Championships on Monday was won by the team of Maxine McLaughlin and Frances Miners with 69.5 nett. The ball rundown included Gail Kennerley/ Beryl Gray 77 and Ratna Rankmore / Barbara Miller 83.5.

Round 2 on Tuesday saw Ratna Rankmore and Barbara Miller victorious on 69.5 nett and the rundown had Maxine McLaughlin/ Frances Miners 71.5 and Georgina Cook/ Lil Ryan 78.

The 36 hole champions for 2026 were Maxine McLaughlin/ France Miners 208 (gross) and Gail Kennerley/ Beryl Gray 148 (nett)

Sunday Competition

Greg Granger won Sunday’s stableford event with 38 points as well as taking the jackpot home on the Mitre 10 hole and the Goulburn Soldiers Club nearest the pin 14th. Second for the day was Tony Clewett on 36. He was followed by Craig Hussey on 35 who also won the mystery holes on countback for 8 points on the Priceline 2nd, C L Concrete 10th and Aaron’s Trees 12th . Tom Heath and John Smith each had 34, Gary Spence 33 and on 32 were Dean Horne, Ray Turner and Simon Jiang on countback for the rundown.

Other nearest the pins went to  Ian Baxter (Alan Bill Electrical 7th), Sam Cosgrove (Worker’s Club 8th) and Glenn Baxter (Goulburn Soldiers Club 9th).

Drive and pitch on the Lee and Thomas 13th went to Max Sakiasi and the Carpet Court 16 was Tony McLaughlin.

Simon Jiang topped the scoreboard with 28 points last week to win the Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole competition after a countback with Greg Maskill. On 26 were Glenn Baxter, Russell Schmitt, Maxine Mclaughlin and Hayden Ward. Stephen Rigby finished off the rundown with 25 on countback.

Ladies

Gail Kennerly returned a nett 64 for the Stroke event on Monday to win division 1. Lil Ryan had 68 for the division 2 win. Putting for the day went to Maxine McLaughlin 29 (div 1) and Lil Ryan 34 (div 2). The ball rundown saw Frances Miners score 69 and Barbara Miller finished with 74.

The Gross and Nett leaders for round 1 of the Foursome Championships 2026 are the team of John Smith and Ray Turner on 78 gross and 67.5 nett.

Included in the rundown were the teams of Greg Granger/ Luke Wray 68, Tony McLaughlin 68.5, Tom Heath/ Chris Ryan 68.5 and Glenn Baxter/ Simon Jiang 69.5.

Nearest the pins went to James Will (Alan Bill Electrical 7th), Mitch Cook (Worker’s Club 8th), Ray Turner (Goulburn Soldiers Club 9th), and Chris Ryan (Goulburn Soldiers Club 14th).

Drive and pitch on the Lee and Thomas 13th went to Luke Wray/ Greg Granger.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Competition

Terry Berg stepped up to score 30 points for the Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole event to lead the way from Craig Fahey on 29. Ken Wray and Maxine Mclaughlin both made 28 points followed by Craig Hussey and Brett Buckley each 26, Luke Wray 25 and on 24 Brian Larkin, Matthew Maas and Dean Horne.

Ladies

The Tully Ladies played a 3 stick + putter stableford event last week with Lil Ryan the winner on 36 points. Nearest the pin went to Frances Miners on the Mitre 10 hole. Ball rundown went to Barbara Miller and Di Schmitt both on 26.
