Tully Park Golf 27/02/2022

Sunday Competition

Chris Ryan won the stroke event and the A grade Monthly Medal for February after a countback over Gary Spence when both finished on 64 nett. Ian Peterson won B grade with nett 65 and Andrew Balabka took C grade with 72. Also in the rundown were Jeremy Harrison 69, Kerry Bensley 69, Russell Lieschke 71 and Mick Gray 72 after a countback. Mac Fife won the jackpot hole on the Argyle Cleaning 17th, Andrew Balabka was nearest the pin on Goulburn Soldiers 14th and Michael Wilson won the drive and pitch for the Carpet Court 16th.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole

Ian Baxter topped the list last week with 27 points for the Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole event. Chris Ryan and Tony McLaughlin each scored 26 and Maxine Mclaughlin, Russell Lieschke and Mick McDonald all had 25 points. The rundown went to 22 on a 4 card countback. Russell Lieschke won the eagles nest for the D.One Accounting hole.

Ladies

In the minimum 9 competition last week Georgina Cook led the way for division 1 with her nett 25 while also taking the putting for the group on 35. Div 2 was a tie between Beryl Howe and Ruth Beveridge with both on 30.6, Beryl also won the putting with 28. The rundown included Ratna Rankmore 28 and Maxine McLaughlin 29.6.

Notices:  Sunday March 6 Par. Names are now being taken for the Mixed Foursomes on Saturday March 19 with tee off at 9am. Names are also being taken at the clubhouse for the 2022 K&N Peterson Matchplay event. A draw will be done so names must be in by March 3. Names are also needed for the Tully V RSL on April 10 – tee off 6.30 to 7.30am at Goulburn. Thanks to Luke and the dedicated volunteers for their efforts in making such a beautiful course, in challenging weather conditions,  in time for the pennants. Our thoughts are with the Peterson family after the passing of Tully Life Member Kevin (Splinter) Peterson last week.

Tully will be closed to social play on Sunday as we host the pennants teams from the ACT – Monaro B grade comp.

Sunday Competition

Bill Reid hit his straps on his way to 42 points on Sunday in the stableford event. Eddie Hawkins stayed strong for his 39. Ron Nunn and Chris Ryan both had 36 followed by Jeremy Ryan, Peter Gurr and Kerry Bensley each on 35. Ian Baxter and Don Grimston both had 34 for the rundown. Daniel Dugdale won the Mystery Holes for his 8 points on the B C Training 6th, The Agency 15th and Chris Ryan Plumbing 18th. Roly Wong took the neares the pin for the Mitre 10 hole and Tom Heath won the drive and pitch for Aaron’s trees 12th. Ian Baxter took the jackpot hole for the Priceline Pharmacy 2nd.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole

Phil Heath was last week’s winner with 29 points followed closely by Rn Nunn on 28. Ian Baxter scored 26 then Wayne Blay on 25. Russell Lieschke and Mark Berrisford each had 24 and on 23 were Eddie Hawkins, Brian Larkin and Stephen Rigby. John Blair made 22 and on 21 were Stephen Apps, Maxine McLaughlin and John Smith then, after a countback on 20, Mick McDonald.

Ladies

Maxine McLaughlin won division 1 of the ladies stableford event last week with 33 points. Grace prig won div 2 on 35. Nearest the Pin on Jeremy Ryan Plumbing 7th was Ruth Beveridge. The rundown for the day went to Beryl Gray 33 and Heather Buchanan 27.

Pennants

Elsey Slater squared her pennants match for the Tully Park/ Yowani team. The team, coming off a win for their last match went down this time against Belconnen/ Queanbeyan. Her next match will be in a couple of weeks.

The Tully Park men’s B grade handicap team scored a win 3.5 to 2.5 against Crookwell. Jon Gegg, Ray Turner and Jeremy Harrison all won, Mick Regterschot squared and Josh Cooper and Tom James has losses. Tully have the bye next week while they host the other teams.

Notices:  Sunday Feb 27 Stroke monthly Medal. Due to pennants hosting, ALL players must tee off by 7.30am. Pennants commence at 1. The course will be closed for the day otherwise. Names are now being taken for the Mixed Foursomes on Saturday March 19 with tee off at 9am. Names are also being taken at the clubhouse for the 2022 K&N Peterson Matchplay event. A draw will be done so names must be in by March 3. Names are also needed for the Tully V RSL on April 10 – tee off 6.30 to 7.30am at Goulburn. Sunday Competition

Fifteen teams took part in the 4 person ambrose on Sunday with Andrew Balabka, Brandon Courts, Mitch Cook and Hamish McCormack proving victorious in a tight field with 53.25. Tom Heath, Chris Ryan, Jeremy Ryan and Peter Gurr banded together well for their 53.5 and the team of Brett Buckley, Josh Buckley, Brad Buckley and Chris Deegan returned 54. Teams of James Will, Josh Ryrie, Dylan Maddock and Shane Wilson had 54.6 and Ryan Wilson, Ryan Saville, Tom James and James Wilson had 55.5. Fourteen of the teams finished under 60. Chris Deegan won the first nearest the pin on Jeremy Ryan Plumbing hole and Ian Peterson took the second on the Worker’s Club hole

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole

Zacc Broderick came in a winner for his first competition last week finishing with 29 points. Mitch Cook and other newcomer Adam Gordon both had 27. Ian Baxter scored 26 just ahead of Brett Buckley and Eddie Anning on 25 each. Mark Berrisford and Trent Cooper both made 24 followed by John Smith and Ron Nunn 22 and then Russell Lieschke, Maxine McLaughlin and Max Sakiasi on 21 after a countback.

Slater Drafting par 3

Flynn Wilson had a countback win over Alan Gray after both finished on nett 24 in the February Slater drafting Par 3 at Tully on Saturday. In the rundown for the day were

Ladies

Grace Prigg won the Ladies stableford last Monday with 34 points taking the nearest the pin on the Mitre 10 hole on her way. Beryl Howe was next best on 28 and Maxine McLaughlin had 27. Ladies play Mondays and meet at 8.30am.

Pennants

In her first round of pennants last week Elsey Slater was unlucky to go down 4 and 3 in her spot for the combined Tully / Yowani team against Yass.

The Tully Men’s B grade handicap team played Federal at Crookwell on Sunday and finished with a draw. Mac Fife won big with 7 up and 6 to play while Josh Cooper and Jeremy Harrison both won 3 & 2. Mick regterschot, Jon Gegg and Adam Boxsell were each unlucky to go down in close matches.

Sunday Competition

Tony McLaughlin scored a countback win over Ray Turner after both finished on 37 points on Sunday for the stableford event. Ray also won the jackpot on the Jewell Builder hole. Tom Heath had 35, Jeremy Harrison and Michael Wilson both on 33, Eddie Hawkins and Tony Clewett each on 31 and Mark Berrisford and Mitch Cook each on 30 finished off the rundown after a 5 card countback. Ian Peterson won the nearest the pin on the Goulburn Soldiers Club 14th

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole

James Wilson backed up last week’s great performance with another win on 28 points. Mark Berrisford finished with 26 followed by Brett Buckley 24 and then on 22 John Smith, Chris Deegan and Shaun O’Neill. There were 22 players last week.

Slater Drafting par 3

Feb Slater Drafting Par 3 this Saturday, tee off 7am to 11am . Cost $7/player.
