Sunday Competition
Mac Fife scored 37 points for a win in the stableford event at Tully Park on Sunday. Tom James won a countback for second after he, Alan Bill and Ian Peterson each scored 35 points. The rundown included Luke Wray 34, Ken Wray 33, Simon Jiang 32 and Russell Schmitt 31.
The Mystery Holes was won by Greg granger with 8 points on the Ian Ginn Builder’s 1st, Elegant Renovations and Tiling 10th and Argyle Cleaning 17th. Mitch Cook won the Mitre 10 jackpot hole and nearest the pins went to Mac Fife (BC Training 6th), Ian Peterson (Alan Bill Electrical 7th), Chris Elliott (Worker’s Club 8th) , Mick Regterschot 9Goulburn Soldiers Club 9th) and Tony McLaughlin ( Goulburn Soldiers Club 14th). The drive and pitch for the Lee and Thomas 13th and Carpet Court 16th were both won by Tom James.
Sunday October 11 is a 4 ball Aggregate. Men’s championships are on Saturday/ Sunday October 17 & 18, 24 and 25. Organise your groups and times for Saturdays.
Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Competition
Dean Hearne took to the podium last week with 28 points over the 12 holes. Fran Miners came in with 25 followed by Phil Heath and Simon Jiang both 24. On 23 were Stephen Rigby, Hayden Ward, and Will Miners. Kim Fahey had 22 and Alan McDonald 21 for the rundown.
With round 5 finishing on Wednesday Oct 7 and the final round starting the few spots are still up for grabs. Ken Wray still leads on 90 with Alan McDonald close behind on 88. Hayden Ward is in 3rd on 84 and a couple of others are within striking distance of a top 3 placing on 83.
Ladies
The Tully Ladies played a stroke event choice 9 last week with Ratna Rankmore winning division 1 with nett 32.67. Lil Ryan won division 2 with nett 32. The putting competitions were won by Ratna (div 1) and Beryl Gray (div 2), both with 30 putts. Balls for the rundown went to Georgina Cook and Maxine Mclaughlin.
