Sunday Competition

Ken Wray won the B Grade medal for September and the stroke event on Sunday with nett 68. Alan McDonald was second on countback with 70 and took the C Grade medal. Justin Cross won the A Grade with 71. The rundown also included Tony McLaughlin, Simon Jiang and Ian Baxter all on 70, Greg Granger 71, Max Sakiasi 72 and Dean Horne 73.

Sam McDonald won the Mitre 10 jackpot hole, Roly Wong wo the nearest the pin on the Alan Bill Electrical 7th and the drive and pitch for the Carpet Court 16th. Other nearest the pins went to Chris Ryan (Worker’s Club 8th and Goulburn Soldiers Club 9th ), and Andrew Balabka (Goulburn Soldiers Club 14th ). Greg Granger took the drive and pitch on the Lee and Thomas 13th.

Sunday October 4 is stableford and Mystery Holes for the long weekend .

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Competition

Sam Cosgrove took top spot last week with a 27 point round. Terry Berg came in next best on 24 followed by Russell Schmitt and Hayden Ward each with 23. Finishing the rundown on 22 were Ken Wray, Alan McDonald and Craig Hussey.

The standings after 3 rounds of the Kevin Allen Consistency competition sees Ken Wray leading on 70, Alan McDonald in second place on 67 and Wayne Blay not far behind on 65. With 3 rounds to go it is still anybody’s race.

For the Kevin Allen Consistency Competition players can play in either the Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole or the Sunday competition (if it has a stableford or stroke  round). Run over 6 weeks it will count your best 12 hole round for the week and add your best 4 weeks out of the six weeks. First, second and third prizes are up for grabs.

Ladies

Division 2 of the Ladies stroke event was won by Barbara Miller with an excellent nett 63. Beryl Gray won the putting for division 2 with 35. Di Schmitt won division 1 with 72 nett and took the putting with 35. The ball rundown included France Miners 71 and Beryl Gray 72.
