Sunday Competition

Alan Bill’s hole in one on the Goulburn Soldiers Club 14th was only enough to get him into second place for the stroke event on Sunday as he finished with a nett 65. Chris Elliott put it all together to take the win with nett 64 and take the B grade medal for the round. Josh Cooper paced himself for the round to become Tully Park’s 2021 Gold Medal winner with a nett 66.  John Smith won the A grade with net 69 and Darrell Spence also has his name in the Gold Medal playoff for next year winning C grade with nett 75.

Nearest the pin on the Jewell Builder hole was Chris Elliott and the D.One Accounting drive and pitch winner was Jarred Hunt.  Mystery Holes winner was John Smith on 8 points after a 5 card countback and Roly Wong won the inaugural Jackpot hole with a shot 293cm from the pin on the Mitre 10 hole. The ball rundown for the round went to 75 on an 8 card countback.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole

Rusell Lieschke won on countback over Eddie Hawkins last week after both finished on 24 points. Mark Berrisford returned 23 points followed by Greg Robertson and Chris Ryan each on 22. A countback of 6 cards for the rundown went to Stephen Rigby, Joy Leary, Malcolm Young, Maxine McLaughlin and Brett Buckley all on 21.

Ladies

Medal of medals winner for 2021 was Ruth Beveridge with 77 nett. Division  A champion was Heather Buchanan with 358 gross and Division B was Georgina Cook 400. Division A nett winner was Maxine McLaughlin 29 and Division B Beryl Howe 291. 72 hole nett overall winner was Beryl Gray 284. Foursome champions for 2021 are Georgina Cook and Elsey Slater 201

Last week’s event saw Heather Buchanan win the Gross for the stroke event in division 1 with 92 and Ruth Beveridge took division 2 with 115. Nett winners were Maxine McLaughlin 79 and Beryl Howe 83. The consistency for November was a shared win by Georgina Cook and Maxine Mclaughlin with 27 points each.

BioCleanse 2 person Ambrose

Andrew Balabka and Mick Regterschot got it  together for the 2 person ambrose sponsored by Biocleanse coming in with 45.5 nett for the 12 holes. There is only until Thursday for this week and one more week following for this event so anyone wanting to take the challenge the cost is only $7 each.

Notices:  Sunday Dec 5 stableford 4BBB Captain vs President. Players wishing to play in the 2022 B grade handicap pennants team are asked to put their name on the sheet in the clubhouse in the next 2 weeks so shirts the team can be finalised. Gala Day is fast approaching so get your 4 person teams ready – members only. Note the cost for players who have had 10 or more comp games through the year is $15 and those with less is $30.

Note that from Friday Dec 3 preferred lies will be on the correct fairways only (not the rough or other fairways). Preferred lies in the bunker will continue until Dec 30. Members are reminded that the Bi-Rite Xmas Guessing competition results will be drawn on Dec 12 so get your tickets sold and returned before then to be in with a chance.
