Sunday Competition

An eagle on the Aaron’s Trees 12th hole for Tom James helped him to victory with 41 points in the stableford event on Sunday. Sam Cosgrove came in with 37 in the strong field that saw Ian Peterson, Max Sakiasi and Glenn Baxter each on 36, Eddie Sivell 35 and Doug Stevens 33 on countback make up the rundown.

Mitch Cook won the mystery holes on a 6 card countback with 6 points on the Worker’s Club 8th, D.One Accounting 11th and Aaron’s Trees 12th  holes. Nearest the pins went to Dean Horne (BC Training 6th), Max Sakiasi (Alan Bill Electrical 7th), Eddie Sivell (Worker’s Club 8th) Simon Jiang (Goulburn Soldiers Club 9th), and Mitch Cook (Goulburn Soldiers Club 14th). Max Sakiasi took the jackpot for the Mitre 10 hole. Drive and Pitch was won by Andrew Balabka (Lee and Thomas 13th) and Tony McLaughlin (Carpet Court 16th)

Saturday Oct 11 Mixed Foursome Championship 8.30 for 9am start.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Competition

Alan McDonald showed flashes of brilliance in his round of 25 points to take the Goulburn Soldiers Club voucher last week. Craig Brown followed closely on 24 with Tony Clewett 23, Lindsay Sergeant 22 and Tony Grimston, Hayden Ward and Ken Wray all on 21.

That leaves the round 3 standings of the Kevin Allen Consistency competition with Tony Clewett in the lead on 63, Alan McDonald on 60 and Wayne Blay and Greg Maskill fighting it out for 3rd place.

Ladies

The Tully Ladies played a 2 person ambrose last Monday and the winning team was Heather Buchanan and Georgina Cook on 61.75. Nearest the pins for the day went to Ratna Rankmore, Gail Kennerley and Maxine McLaughlin. The ball rundown included Ruth Beveridge and Barbara Miller.

Sunday Competition

Thank you to Gary Spence for stepping up into the captain role.

Dean Horne had a nett 61 to take out the C grade medal for September and the stroke event. Max Sakiasi had nett 65 for the B Grade medal and second place while Mitch Cook nett 68 earned him the A Grade medal. Simon Jiang was next on 69, Ken Wray 70, Ray Turner 71, Roly Wong 72, Sam McDonald and Glenn Baxter rounded off the rundown on 73 after a countback.

The eagle’s nest was shared by Mitch Cook on the CL Concrete 10th and Roly Wong on the Scott Reid Plumbing 18th.  The jackpot Mitre 10 hole went to Andrew Balabka, nearest the pins went to Roly Wong on the Alan Bill Electrical 7th and Adam Rowe won for the Goulburn Soldiers Club 14th. Drive and Pitch went to Roly Wong on the Lee and Thomas 13th and Luke Dixon took it for the Carpet Court 16th.

Sunday October 5 is Stableford.

 

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Competition

The Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole event was won by Michael Taylor with 24 points. Coming in close behind were Ian Baxter, Chirs Ryan, Tony McLaughlin and Wayne Blay all on 23. On 22 was Tony Grimston and 21 on countback were Dean Horne, Phil Heath and Max Sakiasi.

After 2 rounds of the Kevin Allen Consistency competition it is Wayne Blay on 43 holding a narrow lead over Tony McLaughlin and Greg Maskill both on 41.

Ladies

Tully Ladies played a stroke Choice 9 holes last week with Maxine McLaughlin the winner on 37.6 nett. Heather Buchanan finished with 42 nett and Barbara Miller came in with 43.6. Georgina Cook had 35 putts to win the putting prize.

It is with great sadness we report the recent passing of Club Captain Joe Fehir his funeral will be on Oct 1, Craigs Hill Chapel 63 Middle Arm Road at 11am.

Sunday Competition

Sam McDonald won the Par 3 event on Sunday with nett 55.3. Adam Rowe came in second on 57.68, Brynn Matthews had 59.08 followed by Andrew Balabka 59.65, Ken Wray 61.5 and Doug Stevens 62.15.

Luke Dixon won the Mitre 10 jackpot hole and the nearest the pins were won by Andrew Balabka on both the Worker’s Club 8th and Goulburn Soldiers Club 9th , Chris Lewis was best on the Goulburn Soldiers Club 14th , Ian Baxter took the D.One Accounting 11th while Lindsay Sergeant scored was closest on the Carpet Court 16th.

Sunday September 28 is Stroke Monthly Medal.

 

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Competition

The first round of the Kevin Allen Consistency Competition saw Kim Fahey take the lead and win the Goulburn Soldiers Club voucher for the week with his 22 points on countback. Eddie Hawkins was next best on 22, followed by Tony Clewett 21 , Maxine Mclaughlin 20, Wayne Blay 20, Greg Maskill 20, and on 18 Jeff Edwards, Steve Rigby and Tony McLaughlin.

Ladies

The Tully ladies played a stroke event on Monday with Heather Buchanan the division  1 winner on 78 nett. The div 1 putting prize went to Ratna Rankmore with 31. Division 2 was won by Lil Ryan on 83 who also won the putting with 36 putts. The ball rundown included Georgina Cook 80, Ratna Rankmore 83 and Barbara Miller 89.

Sunday Competition

Luke Wray and Brynn Matthews teamed up for a round of 63.75 to win the Ambrose event on Sunday. Max Sakiasi and Tony McLaughlin had 64 and Sam McDonald and Tom James finished with 64.75 nett for the top 3 spots.

Luke Wray won the jackpot on the Mitre 10 hole, Max Sakiasi won the nearest the pin on the Goulburn Soldiers Club hole.

The drive and pitch holes went to Max Sakiasi/ Tony McLaughlin(D.One Accounting) Brynn Matthews (Aaron’s Trees), Glenn Baxter/ Eddie Sivell (Lee and Thomas Electrical) and Ian Peterson/ Ken Wray (Carpet Court)

Sunday September 21 is 18 hole par 3 event (check at the clubhouse for event handicaps).

Brett Buckley led the way last week with 27 points and an eagle on the Aaron’s trees 12th hole. Greg Maskill also played well for 26 followed by Ian Baxter 25 and Craig Brown 22.

The annual Kevin Allen Consistency competition starts Wed Sept 10, 12pm.  A player’s best round each week will count toward the competition and the best 4 rounds weekly rounds over the 6 weeks are totalled. First, second and third prizes are on offer.

Ladies

Georgina Cook scored 32 points last Monday to take out division 1 in the stableford event.

Frances Miners won division 2 on 29 points. The rundown included Maxine McLaughlin 32, Barbara Miller 25 and Lil Ryan 24. Maxine Mclaughlin also won the mystery holes with 6 points on the  Goulburn Solar 3rd, Mitre 10 5th and Goulburn Engineering 8th holes.

Sunday Competition

Roly Wong won on countback over Lindsay Sergeant on 36 points in the Father’s day stableford event. Ian Peterson and Dean Horne each had 33and Tony McLaughlin had 32 for the rundown.

Lindsay also took the Jackpot this week on the Mitre 10 hole at only 75cm from the pin. Nearest the pins were also won by Doug Stevens on the Alan Bil Electrical hole and Tom Heath on the Goulburn Soldiers Club hole. Drive and Pitch on the Lee and Thomas hole was won by Ian Peterson.

Congratulations to Max Sakiasi on his win in the Kevin and Noelene Peterson Matchplay event held over the past few months. Max defeated Simon Jiang 7 up with 5 to play.

Sunday September 14 is 2 Person Ambrose.

Bryan Norris took the win last week on countback with Tony McLaughlin, after they both finished with 25 points. Phil Heath had 24, Ian Baxter 23, Lindsay Sergeant 22 and on 20 were Craig Brown, Hayden Ward, Ken Wray and Don Grimston.

Ladies

The ladies Stroke Monthly Medal event was won by Ratna Rankmore for division 1 with nett 80 and 27 putts. Barbara Miller had 77 for division 2 with Gail Kennerley taking the putting prize with 34. The rundown included Gail on 80 and Georgina Cook on 84.

Sunday Competition

Tom James won the stroke event on Sunday with 67 nett and took the A Grade monthly Medal for August. Brynn Matthews 70 won the B Grade and Dean Horne took the C with 78.

The rundown included Ian Peterson 71, Max Sakiasi 71, Ian Baxter 72, Chris Elliott 72, Tony McLaughlin 73, Ken Wray 73, Bill Reid 73 and Luke Dixon 76. Max Sakiasi won the jackpot Mitre 10 hole and took nearest the pin for the Goulburn Soldiers Club hole. Craig Hussey and Tom Croker each won a drive and pitch on the Lee and Thomas and Carpet Court holes respectively.

Sunday September 7 is a stableford event with mystery holes. Coring takes place this Thursday and will only required a few volunteers for some light assistance on the day.

Phil Heath found his way to the winner’s circle last week with 23 points, while Wayne Blay scored 19 to come second in a rain interrupted round.

Sunday Competition

The team of Eddie Sivell and Glenn Baxter scored 42 points to win the 4 ball best ball event on Sunday. Ian Peterson and Tony Clewett were next best on 40. Luke Wray and Jon Gray had 39 and were followed by Sam Cockburn and Craig Hussey.

Jackpot on the Mitre 10 hole was won by Glenn Baxter, Sam Cockburn was nearest the pin on the BC Training hole (4cm), Ian Baxter won the Alan Bill Electrical 7th. Drive and Pitch on the Lee and Thomas 13th was Roly Wong and on the Carpet Court 16th was Tony McLaughlin.

Sunday August 31 is a Stroke Monthly Medal.

Ken Wray returned to form with 27 points last week for the 12 hole competition. Wayne Blay finished in 2nd on 25 with Don Grimston, Greg Maskill and Kim Fahey all on 24 close behind. Luke Wray 23 and Craig Brown on 22 finished the rundown.

Sunday Competition

The 2 Person Ambrose event at Tully on Sunday was won on countback by Chris Lewis and Luke Dixon on 62.5 nudging out Tony McLaughlin and Wade Pomery. Next best were Chris Elliot and Ray Turner 65  , Russell Schmitt and Alan Bill 65.75, Kirby Croker and Chris Toole 66.75 and Tom James and Sam McDonald on 67.

Jackpot Mitre 10 hole was won by Chris Elliott (sorry Chris a near hole in one does not count. Nearest the pins were won by Tony McLaughlin on the BC Training 6th and Alan Bill Electrical 7th ,  Ken Wray won for the Workers Club 8th and Tom James got the Goulburn Soldiers Club 9th. The drive and pitch on the Lee and Thomas  13th was Chris Lewis and the Carpet Court 16th was Tom heath and Chris Ryan.

Sunday August 24 is a Stableford 4BBB . Also note that the August monthly medal is back to  August 31.

Tom James won Sunday’s stableford event with 37 points. Brynn Matthews took second with 36. Chris Ryan 36, Tony McLaughlin 33, Luke Wray 33, Andrew Balabka 32, Sam McDonald 30, Mac Fife 30 and Ian Peterson 29 were all in the rundown.

Mystery Holes winner was Alan McDonald with 7 points for the BC Training, C L Concrete and Aaron’s trees holes. The jackpot winner was Andrew Balabka on the Mitre 10 hole, Chris Ryan took nearest the pin prizes on the BC Training 6th and Goulburn Soldiers Club 14th holes. Other nearest the pins went to Eddie Sivell on the Alan Bill Electrical 7th, and Tony McLaughlin on the Goulburn Soldiers Club 9th. Drive and pitch winners were Mac Fife on the Lee and Thomas 13th and Max Sakiasi for the Carpet Court 16th.
