Men’s Championships continue Saturday and Sunday 29/30 October.

Sunday Competition

After 2 rounds of the club championships Trent Cooper leads A grade gross on 151, Russ Schmitt the B Grade on 174 and Tom Minney the C Grade on 171. Nett leaders for each grade are John Smith 140, Ken Wray 142 and Brynn Matthews 135.

Saturday saw John Smith take division 1 on 63 nett and Tom Minney division 2 on 62. The ball rundown went to 72. Sunday saw Tom Heath win division 1 with 68 nett and Tom Minney backing up well with 70 after countback. The rundown went to 75 in a 6 card countback.

The jackpot on the Goulburn Soldiers Club hole was not won, Tony McLaughlin Jewell Builders nearest the pin while Tom Minney won the D.One Accounting drive and pitch.

Tony McLaughlin held on to win the 2022 Kevin Allen Consistency Competition with a total of 102. Marty Smith was right on his heels for second on 101 and Max Sakiasi took third with 95. Thanks to all who took part over the past six weeks and especially to Val Allen for her continued sponsorship.

Eddie Hawkins put it all together at the end of the consistency comp to come in with 28 points and win the Goulburn Soldiers 12 hole comp. Tony McLaughlin was next best with 27and Marty Smith followed him on 25.The rundown included James Wilson and Ben Pearson each with 24, Max Sakiasi, Bryan Norris, Roly Wong, Brett Buckley and Greg Maskill all on 23, Julia Hearne and Russell Lieschke on 22 and Wayne Minney 21 in a five card countback.

Ladies

Heather Buchanan won division 1 and Jenni Price took div 2 both with 33 points for the stableford competition. Heather also won the mystery holes for Ginny’s Building and Carpentry, Mandy’s Restaurant and ARW holes with 8 points. The ball rundown included Georgina Cook 32 and Ruth Beveridge 27.
