Sunday Competition

Mitch Cook, Mac Fife and Shane Wilson as a team of 3 managed to win the 4 person ambrose at Tully on Sunday with 6 under off the stick for a nett 56.33. Next best were Brett Buckley, Liam Harmer, Chris Spillane and Andrew Tivey on 57.13, followed by Tom James, Ryan Wilson, Ryan Saville and Sam McDonald on 57.25. Anthony Cooper, Bryan Norris and Matt James also teamed up well for 57.33 then Russell Lieschke, Eddie Hawkins, Gary Spence and John Blair 57.38. Nearest the pins were won by Ryan Wilson  on the Worker’s Club 8^th and Gary Spence on the Mitre 10 hole. The jackpot hole on the Argyle Cleaning hole will carry over to next week.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole

Max Sakiasi scored 25 points for a win oi  the 12 hole Goulburn Soldiers Club comp last week. John Blair and Russel Lieschke each had 24 followed by Maxine McLaughlin and Brett Buckley on 23, Trent Cooper, Ian Baxter and Don Pennay all finished with 22 and Graham Tasker and Eddie Hawkins finished the rundown on 21.  September 9 sees the start of the 2022 Kevin Allen Consistency Competition.

Ladies

Heather Buchanan played best in the cold with a nett 72 last Monday to win division 1. Beryl Howe won division 2 with 79. The ball rundown included Joy Leary with 78 and Georgina Cook on 79.

Josh Cooper and Mick Regterschot teamed up well in the windy conditions to win the 4 ball multiplier on Sunday with 58 points. Lindsay Sergeant and Alan McDonald came in with 49, Roly Wong and Max Sakiasi 47, Russ Schmitt and Alan Bill 46 and Ian Baxter and Tony McLaughlin finished the rundown on 44. Roly also picked up the mystery hole with 7 points on Free One Building Design, Goulburn Soldiers Club and Scott Reid Plumbing holes. Trent Cooper won the jackpot hole for the Workers Club 8^th (4.3m) as well as taking the drive and pitch on D.One Accounting 11^th. Chris Ryan was nearest the pin on Jeremy Ryan Plumbing hole.

Mick McDonald has won his first time on the podium with 26 points to win the Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole comp last week. Tony Clewett and Tony McLaughlin each had 24 points, Trent Cooper and Eddie Hawkins 23 and Malcolm Young 22 finished off the rundown after a countback.

Maxine McLaughlin had 33 points last week to win the Ladies stableford event with Heather Buchanan 31, Beryl Howe 28 and Lil Ryan 28 making up the rundown. Frances Miners won the mystery holes with her 8 points on the Jeremy Ryan Plumbing, Mandy’s Restaurant and ARW holes.

Ian Baxter took second place honours for his 68 with Russell Lieschke (69) taking A grade, Max Sakiasi (69), Mac Fife (70, Ray Turner (70), Tom Heath (72), Tony McLaughlin (72), Corey Wilmot (72) and Bill Reid (73) all in the ball rundown after a 6 card countback.  C Grade was won by Darrell Spence on 73. Roly Wong took the jackpot hole with 5.2m on the Goulburn Soldiers Club 9^th, Don Grimston was nearest the pin on the Mitre 10 hole and Mick Regterschot won the drive and pitch on Aaron’s Trees 12^th.

Ryan Saville, Lindsay Sergeant, Ron Nunn and Graham Tasker each had 24. On 23 were Harry Coughlin and Mark Berrrisford and Wayne Blay took the final ball on countback for his 22.

Maxine McLaughlin and Frances Miners both finished on nett 68 for the stroke event last Monday to take out division 1 and 2 respectively. Joy Leary was next best on 73 followed by Beryl Howe 75 and Georgina Cook 77. Putting prizes went to Maxine with 32 and Beryl Gray 35.

Ian pet5erson proved best of three players for second place after he, Tom James and Mick Regterschot each had 33 points. Bill Reid had 32 along with Tony McLaughlin and Roly Wong had 31 for the rundown. Tom James won the mystery holes for the Goulburn Soldiers Club, Free-One Design and The Agency holes with 10 points. Ian Peterson won the nearest the pin on Jewell Builders hole and Tony McLaughlin took the drive and pitch on D.One Accounting. The jackpot hole will carry over for another week.,

Beryl Howe prevailed in wintery conditions with 30 points for the stableford event for the Tully ladies. Frances Miners had a good day for her 29 and took out the mystery holes for Priceline 2^nd, Goulburn Soldiers Club 11^th and Argyle Cleaning 15^th with 11 points.

Ron  Nunn returned to form to win the May Stoke monthly medal round and the C grade after a 3 card countback with nett 72. Greg Robertson took second place and John Smith won the A grade. Andrew Balabka took C grade with nett 73 beating Russ Schmitt on countback. Trent Cooper returned a 74 as did Russell Lieschke and Tom Heath with Max Sakiasi 75 and Mac Fife 76 making up the rundown after a 3 card countback.  Tom Heath also won the Mitre 10 nearest the pin and Chris Young won the drive and pitch on Ginny’s Building and carpentry.

Heather Buchanan returned to the winners circle with nett 79 for Division 1 of the stroke event last week. Jenni Price took division 2 with nett 82. The rundown included Maxine McLaughlin 82, Beryl Howe 85 and Frances Miners 85 on a slow and heavy course after the rain. Putting went to Di Schmitt 31 and Jenni Price 32.
