Sunday Competition

Easter was kind to Tony McLaughlin as he took top honours in the stableford event with 38 points and the jackpot Mitre 10 hole. Dean Horne took second place with 37 with the rundown ball going to Eddie Sivell 35, Roly Wong 33, Ian Baxter 33, Russell Schmitt 32, Ray Turner 31 and on 30 Glenn Baxter and Ian Peterson.

The mystery holes for April was won by Roly Wong after a countback on 8 points on the Goulburn Solar 3rd, D.One Accounting 11th and Scott Reid Plumbing 18th.

Nearest the pins went to Mark Ryan (BC Training 6th and Alan Bill Electrical 7th ), Chris Ryan took the Worker’s Club 8th along with the drive and pitch for Carpet Court 16th, and Glenn Baxter took the Lee and Thomas 13th drive and pitch.

The lucky number draw was won by D Grimston. It is only $2 for a number and the next draw has begun.

Sunday April 12 is the annual  RSL v Tully 4BBB Stableford on April 12 at Goulburn Golf Club. Names are due by Wed April 8. Tee times available from 6.30am. Vouchers for 1st and 2nd teams from each side and an extensive rundown. Cost is $29per player for golf and a sausage sizzle.

The Kevin and Noeline Peterson Matchplay tournament draw will be finalised by April 6.

Greens are being cored on Tuesday April 7 so come and give a hand for a couple of hours from 7.30am.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Competition

Stephen Rigby won last week’s 12 hole competition with 24 points, closely followed by Jeff Edwards on 23. On 21 were John Smith, Scott Sherer, Ian Baxter Mal Young and Don Grimston.

The new handicapping for the midweek competition started April 1st.  Score the competition on your phone as you play. There are cards at the clubhouse if you wish to see the new indexes as you are only handicapped on the first 9 holes every 2 rounds.

Ladies

Tully Ladies played a stableford event last Monday with Gail Kennerley winning on countback from Ratna Rankmore after both scored 33 for division 1. Division 2 saw Barbara Miller score 36 points and win mystery holes with 10  points on the5th hole for  Mitre 10, Aaron’s Trees 12th and Argyle Cleaning 17th holes. The rundown for the day included Beryl Gray for her 34 .
