Minor Championships
A stellar 1-under off the stick for the final round of the Championships saw Trent Cooper leave all other contenders in his wake for the A grade crown. Trent finished with a gross 43 seeing him win the overall with 144 for the three rounds. Nett winner for the round was Mick Gray with 41 which saw him take the overall nett with 124.
The B grade final round went to Tim James with 54 gross and nett of 43 1/3. This took Tim to the top of the B grade ladder for the gross with 177 while Brian Mills managed the nett honours with 137.
The C grade round was again taken out by Roy McNair who has been losing shots regularly over recent weeks. Roy managed a gross 55 and nett 39 2/3 to also win the overall gross with 168. Tony Clewett was the nett winner after three weeks with 130 2/3.
With some hard fought rounds in the recent bad weather the Ladies Gross for the week was won by Debbie Collins on 53 helping her to take top honours with 176. Berryl Howe won the nett for the round with 44 1/3 but it was not enough to overcome the overall nett score of Rheannah Webb with 142 2/3. A delight for Rheannah as her handicap has also been reduced over the competition.
Gordon Hotel Sunday Competition
Kevin and Ian Peterson combined to win the 4 ball Par event with a +9 just ahead of the teams of Anthony and Josh Cooper, Russ Schmitt and Lachlan Bill, and Tom Heath and Brian Mills who all finished on +8 (countback). John Smith won the Mitre 10 Goulburn Produce 5th and Lachlan Bill the Workers Club 8th for the nearest the pins. The RSM 7th was not won
Goulburn Soldiers Club Midweek Competition
Recent top form had Trent Cooper lead the way last week with an impressive 30 points for the round to only just scrape home against a strong field with Roy McNair on 29, Mick Gray 27, and Brian Larkin 26 all taking home balls in the rundown that went to 24. The Goulburn Soldiers Club midweek competition is a great challenge for time poor golfers who like a challenge and runs every day of the week.
