Sunday Competition
Royce Dockett stunned everybody with a return to form 40 point round to win the stableford event. Russell Lieschke and Darrell Spence both made 38 followed by Lachlan Bill, who also took the eagles nest on Aaron’s Trees 12th, on 37. Max Sakaisi and Ron Nunn both had respectable rounds of 35, Phil Elliott 34, Ken Wray 33 and after a countback on 32 the rundown went to Eddie Hawkins, Mac Fife and Josh Cooper. New member to Tully Bruce Dunlop played his first round here took the mystery holes on 7 points after a countback for the Merino Fuels 3rd, Argyle Cleaning 9th and Chris Ryan Plumbing 18th holes.
Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Comp
Brian Larkin powered home to a countback win over Andrew Oliver and Peter Webster after all three finished on 27 points over the 12 holes last week for the Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole event. Mark Berrisford was next best on 26 followed by Michael Wilson and Russell Lieschke on 25. Greg Maskill and John Blair (24), Trent Cooper, Eddie Hawkins (23) and josh Cooper, Joy Leary and Scott Sherer (22) on countback made up the rundown.
Ladies
The maximum 9 competition on Monday saw Ratna Rankmore take the win over June Spillane for division 1 after both finished on 24 points. Beryl Howe was the division 2 winner also with 24 points. The ball rundown included Joy Leary 23 and Nicole Minney 23.
Juniors
Tully park Junior golf coaching returns August 1 from 8.30 to 10am. Cost $5 each.
Notices: Sunday July 26 Stroke monthly medal. August 2 will see both rounds of the Foursome Championships- book early for carts on the day. The AGM is scheduled for August 16 so nominate for the committee or add agenda items from today. Coring is scheduled for August 7th/ 8th and all help on the day would be appreciated.
