Sunday Competition

Tom Minney won the stroke event and C Grade monthly medal for September with a nett 65 on Sunday. Gary Spence won the A Grade after a countback for his 74 and Tony McLaughlin won B Grade also on countback for his 72. In the rundown were Russ Schmitt 72, Tony Clewett 74 and Tom Heath 74. Max Sakiasi won the jackpot on the Jewell Builders hole and Roly Wong won the drive and pitch on the Aaron’s Trees hole.

Club Championships commence Oct 22/23 and finish Oct 29/30. Saturdays are tee all day Sundays are tee up to 8.30am.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole

Tom James finished with 27 points last week to win the Goulburn Soldiers Club voucher over the 12 holes with a field of 56. Dean Heane took second spot with 26 followed by Mick Regterschot and Tony McLaughlin each on 25. On 24 were Marty Smith, Wayne Pull, Tony Clewett , France Miners and Julie Hearne in a rundown that went to 22 with a 5 card countback.

Round 2 of the Kevin Allen Consistency competition sees Frances Miners still in the lead on 56 points. Tony McLaughlin is holding on in second on 52 and Max sakiasi sits third with 48.

Ladies

Heather Buchanan won division 1 last week for the Ladies stoke event with nett 73 whil Frances Miners won div 2 with 71. The rundown included Georgina Cook and Jenni Price each on 74, Maxine McLaughlin, Lil Ryan and Di Schmitt all on 77.

Sunday Competition

Tom James let loose on Sunday in the wind returning 41 points for a stableford win. Mick Regterschot handled the conditions admirably as well for his 37 followed by Gary Spence and Russ Schmitt each on 35. Finishing the rundown on 34 were Ken Wray, Ian Baxter and Russell Lieschke. Andrew Balabka took the jackpot on the Mitre 10 hole with 2.34m, Alan McDonald was nearest the pin on the Jewell Builder hole and Tom Heath won the drive and pitch for D.One Accounting. Gary Spence won the mystery holes for the Goulburn Soldiers Club, The Agency and Argyle Cleaning holes.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole

Round 1 of the Kevin Allen Consistency competition saw 51 starters lining up with Frances Miners showing her true ability scoring 32 points to take the lead. Tony McLaughlin put in another solid performance for his 27 and Russell Lieschke did likewise with 26. On 25 were Trent Cooper and Max Sakiasi followed by Russ Schmitt, and Wayne Minney on 24. Also in the rundown were Ian Baxter, Maxine Mclaughlin and Eddie Hawkins , Darryl Robertson and Lil Ryan all on 23, followed by Jenni Price, Beryl Howe and Ruth Beveridge all on 22.

Ladies

Frances Miners finished with 46 points last week for the division 2 win in the Ladies stableford event. Maxine McLaughlin won division 1 after a countback over Georgina Cook on 33. Lil Ryan 33, Jenni Price 33 and Beryl Howe 31 were all in the rundown. Georgina also won the mystery holes with 8 points on the Priceline, Carpet Court and Aaron’s trees holes.

Sunday Competition

Trent Cooper took top honours for the Par event after a countback win with +1 over Darrell  Spence and Ray Turner. Trent also won the Jackpot on the Argyle Cleaning hole and the raffle . Making square for the round was Russell Lieschkefollowed by Max Sakiasi, Tony McLaughlin, Russell Schmitt and Chris Ryan , all on -1 and Alan McDonald after a countback with -2. Gary Spence won the Workers Club nearest the pin and Mac Fife won the Carpet Court drive and pitch.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole

Alan McDonald backed up Sundya’s good game with 25 points for the 12 hole win this week. Amassed on 24 were Kim Fahey, Chris Ryan, Garry Handley, Ian Baxter and Eddie Anning. Wayne Pull again made the rundown on 23 and Brian Larkin won the final ball after a 5 card countback on 21.

Ladies

Lil Ryan scored her first stroke event win with the ladies last week with an excellent nett 63. Georgina Cook was next best on nett 72 and then Frances Miners had 74. Beryl Gray took the putting award for the day with 34.

Slater Drafting Par 3

Wayne Minney is the September winner of the Slater Drafting Par 3 with nett 26. Ron Nunn led the rundown on 27 with Noel James and Tony McLaughlin both on 28.

Alan McDonald showed everyone how to play golf with 38 points on Sunday to win the stableford event. Tom James came in with 36 followed by Tom Heath, Trent Cooper and Ken Wray all on 35. Tony Clewett scored 34 , Eddie Sivell and Ian Baxter each had 32 for the rundown. Trent Cooper took the jackpot on Jeremy Ryan Plumbing hole at 3.2m and the Mitre 10 nearest the pin. Adam Bruckshaw won the Lee and Thomas Drive and Pitch.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole

Phil Heath took out the Gouburn Soldiers Club 12 hole competition last week with 25 points. On 23 were Maxine McLaughlin, Brett Buckley, Alan McDonald and Lindsay Sergeant. Max Sakiasi and Wayne Minney both had 22  in a rundown that went to 21 on a 4 card countback.

Ladies

Beryl Howe scored 32 points last week to win the 1^st division for the stableford event and Frances Miners took division 2 with 29 as well as the mystery holes for the Goulburn Soldiers Club, Mandy’s restaurant and D.One Accounting holes with 8 points. The rundown included Heather Buchanan 29, Maxine Mclaughlin 26 and Beryl Gray 25.

Slater Drafting Par 3

The September round of the Slater Drafting Par 3 is on this Saturday Sept 10 with tee off from 7.30am to 11am.

Notices:  Sunday September 11 Par event.. The annual Kevin Allen Consistency Competition starts Friday Sept 9.
