Sunday Competition

Tom James let loose on Sunday in the wind returning 41 points for a stableford win. Mick Regterschot handled the conditions admirably as well for his 37 followed by Gary Spence and Russ Schmitt each on 35. Finishing the rundown on 34 were Ken Wray, Ian Baxter and Russell Lieschke. Andrew Balabka took the jackpot on the Mitre 10 hole with 2.34m, Alan McDonald was nearest the pin on the Jewell Builder hole and Tom Heath won the drive and pitch for D.One Accounting. Gary Spence won the mystery holes for the Goulburn Soldiers Club, The Agency and Argyle Cleaning holes.

Round 1 of the Kevin Allen Consistency competition saw 51 starters lining up with Frances Miners showing her true ability scoring 32 points to take the lead. Tony McLaughlin put in another solid performance for his 27 and Russell Lieschke did likewise with 26. On 25 were Trent Cooper and Max Sakiasi followed by Russ Schmitt, and Wayne Minney on 24. Also in the rundown were Ian Baxter, Maxine Mclaughlin and Eddie Hawkins , Darryl Robertson and Lil Ryan all on 23, followed by Jenni Price, Beryl Howe and Ruth Beveridge all on 22.

Ladies

Frances Miners finished with 46 points last week for the division 2 win in the Ladies stableford event. Maxine McLaughlin won division 1 after a countback over Georgina Cook on 33. Lil Ryan 33, Jenni Price 33 and Beryl Howe 31 were all in the rundown. Georgina also won the mystery holes with 8 points on the Priceline, Carpet Court and Aaron’s trees holes.
