Sunday Competition

Ken Wray was back in form for a nett 63 in windy conditions on Sunday to win the Stroke and B Grade monthly Medal for July. Trent Cooper’s 70 won him  the A Grade while Tom James knocked more shots off his handicap with nett 66 for the C Grade medal. Phil Elliott 65 and Russell Schmitt 71 made up the rundown.

Chris Ryan was nearest the pin for the Capital Country Plumbing 7th and Trent Cooper won the drive and pitch on the Aaron’s Trees 12th.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Comp

Tully junior golfer Ned Slater took top honours last week for the 12 hole Goulburn Soldiers Competiton with 26 points edging out the consistently performing Margaret Gibson on a countback. Graham Tasker was next best on 23 followed, on 22, Ron Nunn, John Peterson and Don Grimston.

Notices: August 5 Stableford. Players are reminded you can beat the winter frosts by playing on Saturdays for the Sunday competition.  Membership renewals are now due.  A reminder to our Keno 4 Ball Par representatives that the district round is on August 5 at Fairbairn. August 12 is the annual Foursomes championships with both rounds 1 and 2 being played on the day with a lunch included in the $30/person with tee off at 7.30 for all players. The Annual General Meeting on August 19 at 1pm agenda items and nominations for the committee are now being accepted.   August Par 3 event is on Saturday the 11th with tee off from 8am to 12pm. All new and skilled golfers are welcome.

Ladies

Beryl Howe returned 34 points last Monday to top the ladies in the stableford event. Sharon Scott won the nearest the pin and Martel Maher and Beryl Gray were in the rundown with 31 and 29 respectively.
