Rheannah Webb received the Barry Pengelly ‘Junior of the Year’ award at the juniors presentation day on Saturday Dec 3.

On Saturday Rheannah also received the awards from the Tully Park Ladies for; Biggest handicap reduction through the year -12 shots,  best Gross on the inland course and best Nett on the River course for the division 2 eclectic prizes. This caps off a big year for Rheannah as she was also part of the winning junior pennants team for the ACT Monaro District earlier in the year and is ready to join the combined Tully Park /Gold Creek team again next year.

Par 3

Jaemin was the Par 3 junior winner with a nett score of 17 for the 9 holes and Jeanelle Slater won the adult division with nett 16. This great event will return in 2017 on the second Saturday each month with the first scheduled for Jan 7. All people new to golf and regulars are welcome to attend with tee of from 8am to 3pm.

Sunday Competition

The 4 Ball Best Ball Stableford event was won by Russell Lieschke and Eddie Hawkins with a total of 49 points for the day. Eddie contributed well with 44 individual points on the day. Tony Clewett and Shane Cooper made 47 to be placed second for the round while Bryan Norris and Josh Cooper made 46. Being the Captains v Presidents day saw the Presidents team winners with 225 points to the Captains 216. Nearest the pins went to Ken Wray on the Goulburn Produce and Mitre 10 hole while Brian Mills and Tom Heath took out the RSM and Workers Club sponsored holes.

Notices: Next Sunday (Dec 11) is Gala Day for the members with a 3 Person Ambrose due to hit off at 8am in a shotgun start. Cost is $15 /person for those who have played at least 10 competition rounds through the year and $25 for those who have played less. Presentation of the years trophies will be after the lunch at 12.30 (approx.). Thanks to the volunteers who have given up their time recently on the course and around the clubhouse your efforts are applauded by all.

Goulburn Soldier Club

Ron Nunn took out the 12 hole comp last week with an excellent 30 point round. Regulars of the competition Tony Clewett and Don Grimston were second and third with 27 and 24. This competition will run right through the Christmas season and is great fun for golfers starting out in competition.
