Sunday Competition
Ron Nunn is the stroke event and C grade medallist for January with a nett round of 64. A welcome round for Ron as he put it all together well for the game. John Smith made 65 to be the A grade winner and Ken Wray scored 67 for the B grade. The ball rundown included Don Grimston and Brian Mills both of whom carded 66. Nearest the pins for the day went to Russ Schmitt (5th – Goulburn Produce and Mitre 10), Russell Lieschke (RSM 7th) and Ron Wenban (Workers Club 8th).
Notices: Sunday Feb 5 stableford. Junior coaching returns on Saturday at 8.30 with coaching to get the rust out after the Xmas break. Good luck to the pennants players next Sunday as the juniors travel to Gungahlin Lakes to meet Yowani and the Mens team play Yowani at Queanbeyan. Thanks to our volunteers for their help around the club and course and to Joy for all of your time.
Goulburn Soldiers Club event
With scores of 27 and 28 for the midweek event carded by Russell Lieschke and Russ Schmitt respectively you would have thought the prize was gone, but then along came Bryson Plumb with a 31 point round for the 12 holes to blow the competition out of the water. Also making the rundown were John Peterson (26), Eddie Hawkins (25) and Di Schmitt (24 on c/b). This proves that the competition is always wide open for a player to just have a great round.
Pennants -Mens B grade Handicap
