Sunday Competition Stroke Monthly Medal
Anthony Cooper showed his consistency only letting one hole slip by on his way to a 5 under nett round of 65 to take out the August stoke event and C grade medal. Josh Cooper supported well with a nett 66 to take the B grade and Ken Wray managed 71 for the A grade as well as the nearest the pin for the Workers Club hole. Other nearest the pins were won by Kerry Bensley on the 5th hole sponsored by Goulburn produce and Mitre 10 while Ian Peterson took the RSM hole . Included in the ball rundown were Eddie Hawkins 67 and Shane Cooper 71.
Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 Hole Competition
Berryl Gray scored 23 to win the Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole stableford with Joy Leary 22 also in the mix in a rain affected round. The Kevin Allen Consistency Competition starts this Friday from 12 pm and runs for the next 6 weeks. Prize vouchers of $100, $60 and $30 are up for grabs.
Juniors
Ned Slater was just able to keep Jack Chamberlain at bay as he took the win in the junior stableford event on Saturday. Ned scored 12 points for the 6 holes with Jack making 8. Juniors have one more Saturday afternoon before returning to the mornings of 8.30am. A program is available on the website or office window. The next round of the Junior Pennants for Tully is currently being organised with hopes of a match in September.
Notices: There will be no Par 3 event on this Saturday due to Coring of the greens. Sunday September 4 is stableford and the following Sunday (11th ) is the RSL v Tully event along with the final round of the Pairs Event.
