Sunday Competition

Forty starters lined up for the ambrose event on Sunday with the best social team being Wayne James/ Shane Munroe 66 and the best mens team were Andrew Balabka/ Josh Cooper 59.

Second place getters for each division were  Jarrad Twaddell/ Habib Sorial 67 in the social and  Trent Cooper/ Jon Gegg 61.25  for the mens.

The rundown included Jason Gray/ Bill Reid 62, Ben Hall/ Marty Brooker 62.25, Glenn Baxter/ Eddie Sivell 63, Brynn Matthews/Gary Spence 64.25, and John Smith/ Ray Turner 65.5

Nearest the pin on the Mitre 10 hole was Ian Baxter

The Workers Club nearest the pin went to Shane Munroe

The team drive and pitch was won by  Justin Cross/ Mick Regterschot on the Lee and Thomas hole and on Ginny’s Building and Carpentry was John Smith/ Ray Turner.

Longest drive on the Carpet Court 16th was Justin Cross

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole mid-week competition

Jon Gegg continued his recent good form with a countback win on 27 points last week for the  Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole event. Roly Wong also had 27 the Russell Lieschke on 26. Ron Nunn had 25 followed by Greg Maskill on 24 then to 23 with Trent Cooper, Stephen Rigby and Greg Robertson. After a countback the final balls went to Kevin Breen and Andrew Finlaison each on 22.

Ladies

Georgina cook won last week’s stableford event with 27 pints after a countback over Beryl Gray.

Mystery Holes winner was Lil Ryan with 5 points on countback on the ARW Multigroup, D One accounting and Priceline pharmacy holes.

Slater Drafting Par 3

The June round of the Slater drafting Par 3 was won in style by Graham Mansfield with a nett score of 23.

Sunday Competition

This week was the May Monthly Medal stroke event. 30 starters took on the frosty conditions with Russ Lieschke the overall winner with a nett score of 63.

The A Grade winner was Russ Lieschke with 63 nett

The B Grade winner was Brynn Mathews with 67 nett

The C grade winner was Glenn Baxter with 69 nett

The ball rundown went to: Brynn Mathews, Mick Regtershot, Mitch Cook, Glen Baxter, Tony Clewett, Tom James, Roly Wong, Ray Turner and John Smith

Nearest the pin on the Goulburn Workers 8th hole was won by Tom Heath. The drive and pitch on Lee & Thomas 13th hole was won by Russ Lieschke. The jackpot hole on the Argyle Cleaning 17th hole was not won and jackpots next week.

Next week is the 2 Person Ambrose with a shotgun start at 7.30 for 8.00.

Jon Gegg  took out this weeks mid week competition ahead of 39 starters with a score of 25 points. The ball rundown went to Ronn Nunn on 25 points, Greg Robertson on 24 points, Tony McLaughlin Russ Lieschke and Trent Cooper on 23 points, Brian Larkin John Smith Graham Todd Greg Maskill Mick Gordon all on 21 points, Sophia Devries and Max Sakiasi on 20 points on a 5 card countback.

Ladies

The Tully Ladies played an 18 hole stableford with best 9 holes counting. Mystery hole competition was also included.

Division 1 winner was Jenny Price with 23 points.

Division 2 winner was Beryl Howe with 24 points.

Mystery Holes winner was Lil Ryan with 8 points.

The rundown included M. McLaughlin G. Cook and B. Gray all on 22 points.

Sunday Competition

The second round of the Foursomes Championships was played in cold windy conditions with the same teams lining up. The eventual winners were Chris Ryan and Ray Turner on nett 70.

The ball rundown went to: Mac Fife and Trent Cooper, Tony McLaughlin and Brynn Matthews and Chris Elliot and Gary Spence.

Our overall Foursomes Champions for 2023 are Trent Cooper and Mac Fife with a combined Gross Score of 155. Their score would also win the Nett comp however The Nett result goes to Chris Ryan and Ray Turner.

The first nearest the pin on the Priceline Pharmacy 2nd was won by Russ Schmitt, the second nearest the pin on the Goulburn Soldiers Club 9th was won by Mac Fife and the drive and pitch on Aarons Trees 12th was won by Tony McLaughlin and Brynn Mathews. No Jackpot hole this week.

Next week is the May monthly medal stroke event.

John Blair came back after a few weeks off to win with 27 points. The ball rundown went to Julie Hearne on 24, Gary Handley Kim Fahey Eddie Hawkins Phil Heath and Graham Todd all on 23, Russ Lieschke on 22, and Ian Baxter Greg Maskill Brian Larkin Kerry Bensley and Ed Anning on 21.

Ladies

The Tully Ladies played an 18 hole stroke and putting event which was also the 3rd Championship round. Division 1 was won by H. Buchanan on 65 nett, Division 2 was won by B. Howe on 69 nett. Both ladies also won their putting competitions with 25 and 30 putts respectively.

The rundown included G. Cook on74, J. Price on 76 and R. Rankmore on 78.

K & N Peterson Matchplay

Round 1 is almost complete and is to be finished by May 31. Still to play for round 1 are:

Sunday Competition

Ray Turner finished victorious after a 3 card countback with 35 points on Sunday in the stableford event. Josh Cooper took second place followed by Russell Lieschke each on 35. Tony Mclaughlin scored 34, Garry handley , John Smith, and Glenn Baxter all had 33, and on 32 were Ian Peterson and Tony Clewett.

The nearest the pin on the Alan Bill 7th was won by Kerry Bensley and Russell Lieschke took the drive and pitch on Ginny’s building and Carpentry 1st. The jackpot did not go off on the Goulburn Soldiers Club 14th.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole mid-week competition

Scott Sherer scored 25 points for a win last week in the 12 hole Goulburn Soldiers Club event. Marty Smith , Kim Fahey, and Pat Bruckshaw each had 23. On 22 were Brett Buckley and Adam Bruckshaw and on 21 Howard Spark, Greg Maskill, Kerry Bensley, Eddie Hawkins Max Sakiasi, Bill Reid and Mick Gray. The rundown went to 20 on countback with Dean Hearne and Brian Larkin taking the balls. There were 45 starters.

Ladies

The Tully Ladies played a stableford last week with Jenni Price taking division 1 on a countback with 32 points and Beryl Howe winning division 2 on 29.

Mystery holes was won by Beryl Howe with 7 points on the AJM Windows, Lee and Thomas and Goulburn Soldiers club holes. The rundown included Heather Buchanan 32, Maxine Mclaughlin 24 and Georgina Cook 21.

Slater Drafting Par 3

The May round of the Slater Drafting Par 3 was won by Garth Stacey on nett 29 after a countback. Russ Schmitt was next on 29 followed by Darren Jones in his first round with 30.

Tully Park Golf Club 7/5/2023

Last weeks Sunday Competition was a washout. Well done to the few brave souls who competed in the mid-week competition instead.

Sunday Competition

This week was the first round of the Foursomes Championships in which 12 pairs started. Leaders after Round 1 are Russ Schmitt and Alan Bill on 70 nett.

The ball rundown is as follows: Trent Cooper and Mac Fife with 71 nett, Tom James and Sam McDonald and Jon Gegg and Mick Rechterschot all on 72.5

NTP 1 on the Goulburn Workers 8th hole was won by Chris Ryan.

NTP 2 on the Mitre 10 5th hole was not won.

Drive and Pitch on the Carpet Court 16th hole was won by Trent Cooper and Mac Fife.

Next week is Mother’s Day and a stableford competition.

A field of 37 starters braved mixed condition this week. Scott Sherer won on 25 points on a countback from Trent Cooper. The remainder of the ball rundown wen to Phil Heath Kim Fahey and John Smith on 22 points, Kerry Bensley and Mick Gray on 21 points and Daryl Robertson Ed Anning and Roly Wong on 20 points.

Ladies

This week was an 18 hole stroke and putting competition. A much smaller field than usual saw Ratna Rankmore take the honours in both the Nett score on 73 and putting with 30 putts. The ball rundown went to Heather Buchanan with a 76 nett.

The May round of the Slater Drafting Par 3 is on Saturday May 13. Tee off is from 7.30am to 11am. Cost $7/ player.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole

Jon Gegg took top honours over the 34 player field with 27 points in last weeks Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole competition. On 23 were Greg Robertson, Trent Cooper, Kevin Breen and Eddie Hawkins, followed by Graham Todd, Stephen Rigby, Darryl Robertson and Lindsay Sergeant all on 22. To round out the rundown on 21 were Kim Fahey, Garry Handley, Tony Clewett and Phil Heath.

Ladies

Ratna Rankmore came in strong with 40 points last Monday to win the stableford event and tie for the Mystery hole with Beryl Gray and Georgina Cook each on 6 points for the Free One Building Design, Mandy’s Restaurant and Carpet Court holes.

The ball rundown included Beryl Howe on 31 points.

Slater Drafting Par 3

This week was a Par event which saw 31 starters compete.

The overall winner was John Smith with a score of plus 2. Runner up was Gary Spence on plus 1 on a three card countback.

Sunday Competition 16th April 2023

A big field of 46 starters brave the weather for the annual Tully Park vs RSL 4BBB competition. The title for 2023 goes to Tully Park on 335 points to the RSL team on 322 points.

Best for Tully were Russ Schmitt and Alan Bill on 46 point and the best individual was Trent Cooper on 39 points. For the RSL team Danny Hogan and John Macca lead on 43 points and the best individual was Kerry Bensley on 36 points.

17 teams were in the ball rundown which went down to 38 points.

Nearest the pin on the Goulburn Soldiers 9th hole was won by Russ Lieschke.

Drive and Pitch on the Lee & Thomas hole was Tom Heath.

The Jackpot hole on the Mitre 10 5th hole was won by Russ Schmitt.

25 Starters competed in the single stableford event in cold, windy conditions. Mick Gray won the day with 35 points. Russ Lieschke was runner up with 32 points. The ball run down was as follows: Gary Spence on 32 points, Lindsay Sergeant and Ken Wray on 31 points, Simon Jiang, Kerry Bensley and Eddie Sivell on 30 points on a 4 card countback.

 

Nearest the pin on the Alan Bill Electrical 7th hole was won by Mick Gray.

Drive and Pitch on the Aarons Trees 12th hole was Kerry Bensley.

The Jackpot hole on the Priceline 2nd hole was not won and jackpots next week.

Sam McDonald and Tom James teamed up to take out the 2 person ambrose on Sunday with nett 62.75. Second place getters were Ian Peterson and Tony Clewett on 63.5. Making up the rundown Tom Heath/ Chris Ryan 64.5, Brett Buckley/ Anthony Rudd 65, John Smith/ Eddie Hawkins 65, and Simon Jiang/ Eddie Sivell 65.25.

 

Nearest the pin on the Mitre 10 hole was won by Tom James.

Tony Grimston took top honours with 28 points last week with Angela Deacon close behind on 27. Malcolm Young made a respectable 26 followed by 25 for Tony McLaughlin. Garry Handley had 24, Jeff Edwards 23, on 22 were Greg Robertson, Eddie Anning, Max Sakiasi and Don Pennay. The rundown went to 20 on an 8 card countback. There were 44 starters.

This week was a stroke and putting competition.

The April  round of the Slater Drafting Par 3 is on this Saturday with tee off from 7.30am to 11am. Cost is only $7/ player and is lots of fun for a family challenge.
