Bi Rite guessing competition book for the Xmas prizes must be in by 8.30am Sunday 13 Dec for the draw to be done during the Gala day competition.

Sunday Competition

The President’s team took the honours for 2020 with a total score of 275 against the Captain’s score of 255. Leading the way were the winners on the day of Bryan Norris and Anthony Cooper on 45. The dark horse team of Chris Elliott and Graham Tasker nearly stole the show with 43. On 41 were Trent Cooper and James Will with John Smitha nd Ray Turner 40 and Josh Lumsdon and Tim Elliott on 39 for the rundown. John Smith won the Mitre 10 nearest the pin on the 5th and Lachlan Bill won the drive and pitch on Aarons Trees 12th.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Comp

Andrew Cole scored 26 points in his first venture into golf competitions and was closely followed by Scot Sherer and Lindsay Sergeant , both on 25. Alan McDonald had 24 while Jon Gegg and Mark Berrisford each had 22. The rundown went to Trent Cooper, Angus Regeterschot and Stephen Rigby on 21 after a six card countback.

D.One Chicken Run

Josh Cooper carded 19 points to win the second last 9 hole D.One chicken run for 2020 with  Corey manning on 17 and Russell Schmitt next on 16.

Juniors

Juniors have finished for 2020 with Elsey Slater names the Barry Pengelly Junior of the Year and Cooper Cargill awarded the Max McColl encouragement award. Juniors return February 2021.

Sunday Competition

Trent Cooper steered himself to a great round of 41 points off scratch to win the stableford event on Sunday. Ken Wray scored 39 as did Mac Fife, who also took the mystery holes for November on 9 points for the Classic Chemdry 10th, The Agency 15th and Argyle Cleaning 17th holes.  Bill Reid, Russell Lieschke and Gary Spence all returned 38 and Mick Regterschot filled the rundown on 37. John Smith took the double of the nearest the pin on the Workers Club 8th and the drive and pitch for the Carpet Court 16th.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Comp

Alan McDonald crept over the line with a countback win over Chris Ryan and Bryan Norris after they all finished on 25 points last week. Included in the rundown were Beryl Gray on 24 and John Blair on 23. On 22 points were Peter Webster, Tony Clewett, Gary Spence, Lindsay Sergeant and Malcolm Young. The rundown finished on countback to Bryson Plumb on 21.

Ladies

The 2020 A grade Ladies champion is Julia Scamperle with 344 Gross, B Grade winner was Nicole Minney on 421 Gross. Nett winners were Heather Buchanan (300- A grade) and Elsey Slater (289 -B grade). For the yearly awards the Pauline Hall Perpetual winners in a tie were Beryl Howe and Di Schmitt on 48 points and the Medal of Medals Winner is Elsey Slater 67 nett.

D.One chicken run

James Will took the win last week in the D.One chicken run with 21 followed by Jon Gegg 20. The chicken run only has a couple more weeks to go before finishing up for the year and is a great way to get in a game of 9 holes on a Friday afternoon.

Sunday Competition

Thank you to all the players for participating in the Brian Mills Charity Day. $3200 was raised to be shared between the Goulburn Prostate Cancer support group, Bradfordville Public and Cresent Schools.   James Will led the way with a hole in one on the Goulburn Soldiers Club 14th hole to help his teammate Jesse Cao return 56.75 for a win for the day in the mens division. Simon Anable and Brad Griffin also teamed up well to win the social/ mixed division with 60. Second placed teams were Trent Cooper/Jon Gegg on 58.5 and Russ and Di Schmitt on 63.25 and in third were the teams of Ian Peterson / Ken Wray 59.57 and Ned Slater/ Jeanelle Slater  on 64.73. Fourth in the mens were Bruce Dunlop and Alan McDonald.The rundown went to 61.25. Nearest the pins went to Michael Wilson on the Mitre 10 hole and James Will on the 14th. Trent and Jon get their names on the Brian Mills trophy for best Tully team on the day.  Lucky number draws saw W &N Minney take the $100, G Tasker and R Saville $50 each, P Courts and J Cooper $30 each and S Cooper $15.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Comp

Tim Elliott showed his capabilities on his way to 29 points in the 12 hole competition. Mick Regterschot followed up with 26 thenRatna Rankmore and Lindsay Sergeant both on 23. Russell Schmitt, Scott Sherer James Will and Peter Wheeldon each had 22 with Eddie Hawkins 21, Di Schmitt 21 and Cooper Berrell 20 on countback finishing the rundown.

Ladies

Di Schmitt came home strong with a nett 73 to win division 1 last week in the stroke event while Beryl Howe won both division 2 with nett 79 and the division putting with 31. June Spillane won div 1 putting with 26. The rundown included Heather Buchanan 76, Georgina Cook 76, Ratna Rankmore 80 and June Spillane 80.

 

D.One chicken run

Logan Dial blew the competition away with 28 points for 9 holes last Friday in the chicken run. Jeremy Ryan and Hamish Copland were next best on 18 on a countback.

Slater Drafting Par 3

Beryl Gray took out the final Slater Drafting Par 3 for 2020 with a nett 22 round. The rundown included Jeanelle Slater and Wayne Minney each 24, Danny Nicholls, Beryl Howe and James Will each on 26.

Condolences to the Mills family members for the recent passing of Brian Mills, a Tully Park Golf Club life member who had been club captain for 32 years. Condolences also to the family of Debbie Collins for her recent passing.

Sunday Competition

Tim Elliott scored 39 points to lead the way in Sunday’s stableford event. Trent Cooper 37, Ray Turner 36, Russell Schmitt 36, and Mick Gray, Mac Fife, Bill Reid, James Will and Craig Langby all finished with 34 and John Smith on 33 countback made up the rundown.  Nearest the Pin on the Goulburn Soldiers Club hole went to Eddie Hawkins and the drive and Pitch on the Lee and Thomas hole went to Craig Langby.

Bryan Norris had a welcome return to the winners circle last week after a 27 point round for the 12 holes. Graham Tasker 24, Eddie Hawkins, Gordon Rankmore, Elsey Slater and Beryl Gray all had 23. Ratna Rankmore, Mark Berrisford, Lindsay Sergeant and Ned Slater each had 22 and Simon Jiang finished the rundown on 21 on countback.

Ladies

The captain’s team were victorious over the President’s team 112 to 108 last week in the annual Captain v President day. Captain’s winner was Beryl Gray with 33 points and their drive and pitch went to June Spillane. President’s team winner was Beryl Howe on 26 and Ratna Rankmore took their drive and pitch. The rundown included Ratna 25, Georgina Cook 23 and June 23.

D.One chicken run

Bill Reid won last weeks D. One chicken run with 20 points while Blake Butz 18, Jarred Hunt 16 and Shane Wilson 16 all made the rundown. There is only 5 weeks left of this Friday afternoon activity for family and friends.

Slater Drafting Par 3

The next Slater drafting Par 3 is on this Saturday with tee off 7.30am to 12pm. $7/ player and great fun for all new and regular golfers.

The Mexican team event on Sunday saw Mick Regteschot, Angus Regteschot, Tim Elliott and Bill Reid victorious with a combined score of 102. Pushed into second were the teams of Jack Murdoch, Dylan Maddock, Josh Ryrie and James Will and  Chris Elliott, Phil Elliott, Jeremy Harrison and Gary Spence both on 98. Russell Lieschke won the nearest the pin on the Goulburn Soldiers Club hole and Chris Elliott won on the Jewell Builders Hole.

Rain and competitions kept the player numbers down to 23 but Malcolm Young came out on top with 28 points followed closely by Garry Handley on 27. A gap back to the rest of the field saw Tim Elliott score 24 Bryson Plumb 23, Alan McDonald and Chris Ryan both on 22 and Mick Regteschot 21 on countback make the rundown. Inland course this week due to the river being up.

Ladies

The Ladies Foursome Championships were reduced to 1 round after the heavy weekend and Monday rains and finished with Georgina Cook and Elsey Slater taking out the Gross title with 102 in tough conditions. The nett win went to Heather Buchanan and Ruth Beveridge on 86 with the rundown including the teams of Ratna Rankmore / Beryl Gray 87 and Di Schmitt/ Nicole Minney 87.5.

D.One chicken run

Dejan Nedanoski topped the pool with 21 points in the 9 hole chicken run on Friday with Mitch Phelps next best on 19. Brad Griffin took out third on a countback for his 18 points.

Championships

Round 3 on Saturday saw Mac Fife take division 1 with nett 68 after a 5 card countback while Wayne Minney took division 2 with nett 70 on countback. The ball rundown for the day included Trent Cooper, Chris Elliott, Josh Cooper and Russell Lieschke on 68, Ian Peterson 69 and Graham tasker 70 in a rundown to 72 on countback.

Round 4 saw Mac Fife take division 1 again on countback with a nett 66 and Mick Regteschot took division 2 on 66. In the rundown were Adam Boxsell 66, Wayne Minney 69, Josh Cooper 70, Tim Elliott 71 and Ian Peterson 71. Chris Elliott was nearest the pin on the Mitre 10 hole while Russell Schmitt won the drive and pitch on Ginny’s Building and Carpentry 1st. Grade winners for the Oct monthly medals were Adam Boxsell A grade, Mac Fife B grade and Tim Elliott C grade.

Grade winner for 2020 are: A grade Gross Trent Cooper 297, A grade nett Adam Boxsell 273, B Grade gross Ian Peterson 354 after a playoff for 2 holes, B Grade nett Mac Fife 286, C Grade Gross Wayne Minney 351, C Grade nett Ned Slater 280. Wayne Minney won the Rocky Harris trophy for lowest overall nett on 272.

A countback win with 25 points went to Di Schmitt last week as she edged out Alan McDonald and Gordon Rankmore. Making up the rundown on 24 were Tony Clewett, Peter Webster and Ned Slater and on 23 Russ Schmitt, Tim Elliott, Simon Jiang, Bryson Plumb and Bryan Norris. 34 starters played last week.

Ladies

Backing up her recent return to form, Di Schmitt scored nett 68 to win Division 1. Division 2 was won on countback by Elsey Slater with 75. The rundown included Beryl Gray 75, Georgina Cook 79 and Ratna Rankmore 79. Putting for the round went to Jennifer Braid with 30 for division 1 and Beryl Gray for division 2 with 30.

D.One chicken run

More shots are coming off Jarrod Twaddell’s handicap after his second win in the D.One Accounting chicken run after he returned 22 points last week for the 9 holes on Friday afternoons. Josh Watling and Josh cooper made up the rundown after both finished on 18 points.

Championships

Round 1 on Saturday saw Adam Boxsell take division 1 with nett 66 while young Ned Slater took division 2 with nett 63. The ball rundown for the day included Jack Murdoch 66, Josh Cooper, Russell Lieschke and  Tony Clewett all on 67, Trent Cooper 68 on the way down to nett 71.

Sunday’s round 2 saw Adam Boxsell show his consistency with another 66 for the Division 1 while Wayne Minney took division 2 with an impressive 62.Sam McDonald had 65, Ned Slater 66 and Ray Turner and Russell Lieschke 69 each in a rundown to 71.  Phil Elliott won the nearest the pin on Capital Country Plumbing 7th, Mac Fife won the Aarons trees drive and pitch on the 12th. Trent Cooper made an eagle on The Agency 15th.

Grade leaders so far are: A grade Gross Trent Cooper 145, A grade nett Adam Boxsell 132, B Grade gross Sam McDonald 178, B Grade nett Eddie Hawkins and Simon Jiang both on 145, C Grade Gross Ned Slater 172, C Grade nett Wayne Minney 133. Jack Murdoch got his first Goulburn Soldiers Club win with 29 points last week for the 12 holes over the field of 50 starters. Mick Regteschot was pushed into second for his 27 points round followed by Eddie Hawkins and Ned Slater both on 25. Tony Clewett, Malcolm Young, Lindsay Sergeant, Gordon Rankmore and Ratna rankmore all had 24 in a rundown that went to 21.

Coming from behind in the final week Mick Regteschot leapt to the top of the leader board in the Kevin Allen consistency comp to win with 104 points. Elsey Slater remained on 103 for second while Ned Slater crept to 102 for third. Thank you to all who took part in the competition and thanks to Val Allen for her continued support.

Ladies

Di Schmitt took the Division 1 and putting wins last week with nett 74 and 31 putts. Dvision 2 honours went to Beryl Howe on 73 nett and Ruth Beveridge with 30 putts (c/b). The rundown included June Spillane 76, Heather Buchanan 76 and Georgina Cook 78.

D.One chicken run

Jarred Twaddell’s foray into golf has paid off with a win in the 9 hole event of Friday afternoons at Tully. Jarred scored 23 points, and a handicap drop for next time, to find himself 3 ahead of the rundown trio of Trent Cooper, Josh Cooper and Jon Gegg all on 20.

Jack Murdoch and Jesse Cao topped the 40 player field in the 4 ball best ball stableford event on Sunday with 48 points. Anthony Cooper and Bryan Norris teamed up well for second on 45. Teams of Eddie Hawkins/ Russell Lieschke and John Smith/Ray Turner returned 42 points and for the rundown Graham tasker/ Royce Dockett and Tom James / Eddie Sivell on 42 on countback. Josh Cooper took nearest the pin on the Workers Club 8th and the Carpet Court drive and pitch on the 16th.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Comp

Tom Dunwoodie found some form to score 31 points last week for the win. Mick Regteschot had an impressive 27 followed by a strong ladies contingent of Di Schmitt 26, Nicole Minney, Ratna Rankmore and Elsey Slater all on  25. The rundown went to 21 on countback for the field of 43.

In a battle for the top spot for the Kevin Allen consistency comp, young Elsey Slater regained the lead last week with a 103 total while Ned Slater remained on 100. Mick Regteschot 99 started a late surge and Malcolm Young 93 and Gordon Rankmore still have a good chance to make a more in this final week.

Ladies

Georgina Cook was in the winners circle last week with 34 points to take out division 1 Beryl Howe won division 2 with 23 points. The rundown included Ratna Rankmore 34 and Joy Leary 33.

D.One chicken run

Tom James won the first D.One Accounting chicken run for 2020 after a countback with Jarred Hunt and Bill Reid when all three finished on 19 points.

Slater Drafting Par 3

Cooper Berrell scraped a close win on nett 22 just ahead of up and coming junior Cooper Cargill on 23. John Beveridge 25, Ellie Minney 26, Graham Mansfield 26, and Mick Regteschot, Beryl Gray, Terry Nixon and Noel James all on 27 made the rundown that went to 28 on countback.

Mick Regteschot backed up his recent form with a stableford win over the 18 holes last weekend scoring 39 points. Royce docket came in second on 37 with Phil Elliott next on 36. Chris Toole 35, Josh Cooper 34, Tim Elliott 34 and Gary Spence made up the rundown. Michael Wilson won the nearest the pin on the Goulurn Soldiers Club 14th and Jeremy Harrison took the drive and pitch on the Gordon Hotel 11th.  Trent Cooper took the eagles nest with a 3 on the Chris Ryan Plumbing 18th and Russell Lieschke scored 8 points for a countback win on the BC Training 6th, Chem Dry 10th and The Agency 15th holes for the mystery holes. Andrew Oliver won the lucky number draw with 75.

 

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Comp

Last weeks voucher went to Mick Regteschot after a countback win over Ned Slater on 26. Andrew Olvier came in with 25 followed by Elsey Slater and Malcol;m Young both on 24. On 23 were Russell Schmitt, Tom Dunwoodie, Gordon Rankmore and Elsey Slater. The five people on 22 were Tom James, Beryl Howe, Margaret Gibson, Ken Wray and Don Pennay, then Graham tasker took the last ball in a countback on 21.

 

With only this week and next for anyone to make a move it is still Ned Slater on top in the Kevin Allen Consistency Comp with 100 points. Sister Elsey is still in range with 97 with Malcolm Young 93 and Mick Regteschot 92 still within striking distance of the top spot. Also in range of the top 3 prizes are Gordon Rankmore 88, John Smith 88, Andrew Oliver 87, Sam McDonald 86 and Trent Cooper 84. Thanks to V Allen for her donation to this competition

The Tully Ladies played a choice 9 stroke event last week with Ratna Rankmore the best in for division 1 with a nett 35 while Nicole Minney was division 2 winner on 36. The rundown included Elsey Slater 37, Joy Leary 38.3, Di Schmitt 39 and Heather Buchanan 39.3. Putting wins for the day were Joy Leary with 27 and Beryl Howe on 26

Slater par 3

The next Slater Drafting Par 3 event is on Oct 10 for all to enjoy.  Tee off from 7.30am to 12pm. A fun event for people of all ages.

The stroke and September monthly medal were won by Russell Schmitt (B grade) after a 4 card countback on 67. Michael Wilson won the A Grade after a countback  on 67 and Andrew Oliver took the C Grade on 68. Also in the rundown were Craig Langby and Trent Cooper both on 67, Josh Cooper, Wayne Minney and Jack Murdoch each on 69, and Eddie Sivell, Tony Clewett and Ray Turner all on 70. Simon Jiang was nearest the pin on the Mitre 10 hole while Michael Wilson won the Lee and Thomas drive and pitch.

Di Schmitt finished with 25 points last week to take the Goulburn Soldiers Club voucher in a field of 49 players. Ned Slater, Greg Maskill and Ruth Beveridge each came in with 23 followed by Mick Regteschot, John Smith, Ron Nunn, and Angus Regteschot all on 22. On 21 were Alan McDonald, Garry Handley and Malcolm Young and taking the final balls in the rundown were June Spillane, Don Pennay,Trent Cooper, Chris Ryan and Sam McDonald all on 20.

Last weeks 3rd round of the Kevin Allen consistency comp saw a change at the top with Ned Slater 74 steal the lead from sister Elsey on 73 and just holding ahead of  John Smith 71, Malcolm Young and Trent Cooper both on 69. With 3 weeks to go it is still anybody’s race.

Ladies

The Ladies stroke event last Monday was won by Di Schmitt on 70 nett for division 1 and Elsey Slater on countback with 74 for division 2. The rundown included June Spillane 73, Nicole Minney 74, Heather Buchanan 76 and Ruth Beveridge 77. Putting went to Julia Scamperle and Ruth Beveridge for each division.

Tully Park junior golfers are back with coaching on Saturdays but only for 1h on Oct 3. The next Slater Drafting Par 3 event is on Oct 10 for all to enjoy.
