Get your teams ready for the 2 Person Social Ambrose Competition on June 1. Cost is $12/ player. Tee off 6.30am to 8am. So turn up and bring some mates to play. No handicap- we’ll sort it out for you.

Sunday Competition

The stableford event on Sunday was won by Luke Dixon on 38 points. Dean Horne was next ahead of Luke Wray on 35 after countback. Tony McLaughlin, Alan McDonald and John Smith each had 34, Tom Heath 33 and Darryl Robertson had 32.

Glenn Baxter won the mystery holes on the Goulburn Solar 3rd, Worker Club 8th and Argyle Cleaning 17th where he had 8 points. The nearest the pin for the Alan Bill Electrical 7th hole was won by  John Smith and for the Goulburn Soldiers Club 14th Ray Turner took the honours. Drive and pitch for the Lee and Thomas 13th was Glenn Baxter   and for the Carpet Court 16th Rusell Schmitt came in closest.

Sunday May 18 is round 2 of the foursome championships. Teams can still enter for the this round even if they missed the first one.

A reminder that the matchplay draw is out and players need to check their competitors and organise their matches asap.

Memberships are coming due at the end of June and can be renewed at the clubhouse or through the membership tab on the website at tullyparkgolf.com.au. Full member – $350, 65 years and over – $240, Under 18s – $80. A $10 discount for Goulburn Soldiers Club members.

Goulburn Soldiers Club Competition

Kerry Bensley took top honours last week with 26 points followed closely by Geoff Selmes and Maxine Mclaughlin both on 25. Stephen Rigby had 24, Malcolm Young and Ian Baxter each 23, Wayne Blay 22 and Mick Gray and Kim Fahey both finished off the rundown on 21 on countback.

The Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole competition is great to get a quick round of golf and can be played any day of the week. Cost is only $10 for members and $20 for non-members.

Ladies Competition

Maxine McLaughlin was the division 1 winner last Monday with 74 nett while also winning the putting with 31and Frances Miners won division 2 with 72 nett. The division 2 putting winner was Beryl Gray with 32. The rundown included Georgina Cook 75, Heather Buchanan 76, Gail Kennerley 79 and Beryl Gray 80. The Mother’s day trophies went to Georgina Cook and Gail Kennerley for div 1 and 2 respectively.

Sunday Competition

Leaders for Foursome Championship Gross are tied between the teams of Luke Dixon/ Chris Lewis and Tom Heath/ Chris Ryan after both finished on 81 on Sunday.

Luke Dixon and Chris Lewis have the Nett lead after round 1 with a nett 66. Chris Ryan and Tom Heath were next best in with 69.5 then Ken Wray and Ian Peterson 73.5 and Lindsay Sergeant and Alan McDonald on 75.

The Jackpot Mitre 10 hole was won by Wade Pomery, nearest the pin on the Alan Bill Electrical was Luke Dixon, while Justin Cross won it for the Goulburn Soldiers Club hole. The drive and pitch was a team effort by Luke Dixon and Chris Lewis.

Kevin Breen took the honours last week with 24 points over the 12 holes. Luke Wray put in a good effort for 23 with Ian Baxter hitting his stride with 21. Conway Bogg had 20, Tony McLaughlin 19 and Ken Wray took the final ball on 18 after a countback.

Ladies Competition

Georgina Cook was the division 1 winner for the Tully Ladies last week in their stableford event with 31 points. Gail Kennerley took division 2 with 34 points. The ball rundown went to Maxine Mclaughlin 29, Lil Ryan 26 and Heather Buchanan 26 on countback. Heather also took the nearest the pin. Ladies play their rounds on Monday mornings with tee off around 8.30.

Glenn Baxter took the top spot and also the C Grade medal with a nett 67 after countback . Brynn Matthews also scored 67 for the B grade medal and Tom Heath had 69 for the A grade medal. The rundown included Ken Wray, Tom James and Alan McDonald all on 68, and Ian Baxter and Don Grimston both on 70.

The jackpot Mitre 10 hole and nearest the pin for the Goulburn Soldiers Club 14th went to Brynn Matthews, Russell Schmitt won the Alan Bill Electrical 7th, Roly Wong and Eddie Sivell took the drive and pitch for the Lee and Thomas 13th and Carpet Court 16th holes.

Next Sunday, May 4, is round 1 of the Foursome Championships. Cost $15/ player and playing off the Blue markers. Round 2 is May 18.

Ladies Competition

Tully Ladies played a stableford event last week with A division going to Maxine Mclaughlin with 35 points along with the nearest the pin on the Mitre 10 5th hole. France Miners won B division on 35 and the rundown included Lil Ryan 30 and Ruth Beveridge 28 points. Berly Gary won the B division nearest the pin.

Craig Langby won the stableford Hate Em competition on Sunday with 47 points as well as the drive and pitch on the Lee and Thomas 13th. Don Grimston also scored well with 39 as did Simon Jiang on 38 points and the nearest the pin on the Alan Bill Electrical hole. Mick Gray had 38, Gary Spence 37, Mick Wilson 37, Max Sakiasi and Tom Heath each had 36 and Tony McLaughlin 35. Chris Ryan won the nearest the pin on the Soldiers Club 14th and Eddie Sivell took the drive and Pitch for the carpet Court hole. Lindsay Sergeant won the jackpot on the Mitre 10 hole.

Sunday April 27 is the Stroke Monthly Medal.

Jeff Edwards made it into the winner’s circle last week with 25 points in the Goulburn Soldiers Club competition. John Blair showed good form for his 24, Greg Maskill led the way on 23 followed by Tony McLaughlin and Eddie Hawkins. On 2 was Maxine McLaughlin and 21 on countback was Andrew Finlaison.

Ladies Competition

The ladies division 1stroke winner last week was Georgina Cook with nett 77 and she took the putting prize with 35 putts. Division 2 winner was Frances Miners with nett 72 while Ruth Beveridge took the putting with 33. Beryl Gray 74, Lil Ryan 78and Ratna Rankmore made up the rundown .

Sunday saw 46 starters for the annual Tully v RSL golf tournament. RSL won the day with 377 points to Tully’s 372. Team winners for RSL were Roger Holgate and Hamish Copland on 48 and Tully were Ian Peterson and Brynn Matthews on 43. Runner ups were Mitch Phelps and Tom Andreatta 44 (RSL) and Roly Wong and Ken Wong 42 (Tully). Rundown included the RSL  teams of Corey Manning/ Nic Cooley 43, David Prigg/ Stephen Apps 42, Chris Baxter/ Stephen Casey 41, Mick Gray/ Craig Langby 41, Dino Andreatta/ Bob Stewart 40 Roger Gann/ Rodney Gann 39. For Tully Andrew Balabka/ Eddie Sivell 42, Chris Ryan / Tom Heath 42, Bill Reid/ Mac Fife 42, Kerry Bensley/ Darrell Spence 41, Glenn Baxter/ Simon Jiang 41 and Tony McLaughlin/ Mick Wilson 40.

Sunday’s stableford event was won by Bill Reid with 37 points on countback over Luke Wray who took second place. Brynn Matthews and Gary Spence both had 34 followed by Tony McLaughlin and Ray Turner on 32. Alan Bill won the mystery holes on the Goulburn Solar 3rd, C L Concreting 10th and Goulburn Soldiers Club 14th.  The jackpot on the Mitre 10 hole went to Chris Ryan, Gary Spence was nearest the pin on the Alan Bill Electrical 7th.   The drive and pitch holes were won by Max Sakiasi on the Lee and Thomas hole and Bill Reid won the Carpet Court hole.

Next Sunday April 13 is the Annual Tully v RSL 4BBB stableford.

Jeff Edwards scored a countback win with 23 points last week over Hayden Ward and Stephen Rigby. Sam Cosgrove had 22, Scott Sherer 21 and Alan McDonald and Don Grimston both had 20. Ian Baxter rounded off the rundown with 19 after a countback.

Ladies

Heather Buchana won the ladies A grade last Monday with 32 points and took the mystery holes on the Priceline 2nd, D One Accounting 11th and the ARW Multigroup15th

Ruth Beveridge won the B Grade with 32 points as well. The rundown went to Jenni Price 31, and Beryl Gray 25 points.

Ray Turner won the stableford best 9 event with 26 points. Eddie Sivell was next best on 25 taking second place   followed by Russ Schmitt, Max Sakiasi  and Alan Bill all on 23, Ken Wray and Sam McDonald on 22 and Gary Spence, after a countback, on 21.

Goulburn Soldiers Club Competition

The Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole competition was last week won by Craig Hussey with a fantastic 33 points for the round.  Brian Larkin scored well for 25 points to head up the rundown with Sam Cosgrove 24 being followed by Scott Sherer, Don Grimston, Ian Baxter, Jeff Edwards and Mick Gordon all on 21 after a countback.  12 hole players are asked to note that the comp will be played over the Inland Course, using the Green Scorecards,  due to the recent vandalism on the 8th green.

 Sunday Competition

The Sunday competition was the March Monthly Medal and was won by Bill Reid with a nett score of 68 as he took out the A grade medal. Darrell Spence scored a nett 70 for the C grade medal and second place. Roly Wong took the B Grade medal with 72. Other winners for the day were Brynn Matthews taking the jackpot on the Mitre 10 hole and the nearest the pin on the Goulburn Soldiers Club 14th, Mick Gray won the nearest the pin on the Priceline 2nd and Tom James took the drive and pitch on the Lee and Thomas 13th. Included in  the rundown were Max Sakiasi 72, Eddie Sivell, Gary Spence, Alan McDonald, and John Smith all on 73 and on 74, Mick Gray and Brynn Matthews.

Ladies Competition

The Stroke and Putting event on Monday was won for the   A grade by Georgina Cook with 78 nett  and 34 putts and the B grade by Ruth Beveridge on 71 and 34 putts.  Lil Ryan also played well for 89 nett

The Goulburn Soldiers Club Midweek comp was won by  Hayden Ward 26 pts , Sam Cosgrove finished 2nd with 25 pts , Phil Heath , Simon Jiang & Kim Fahey all had 24 pts , Jenni Price & Wayne Blay both had 23 pts , then Howard Spark , Ian Baxter , Mick Gordon , Jeff Edwards , Scott Sherer & Phil Heath all had 22 pts.

Sunday was a novelty event , a 1,2,3 Best Ball , the team of Chris Elliott , Gary Spence , Brynn Matthews & Eddie Hawkins were winners with 89 pts , Alan McDonald , Russell  Schmitt , Alan Bill & Lindsay Sergeant came in 2nd with 87 pts , Wade Pomery , Tony McLaughlin , Tom James & Ian Baxter were next best with 82 pts . Russell Schmitt won the raffle , Chris Ryan took the jackpot hole and the 7th NTP , Brynn Matthews jagged the 14th NTP , Tony McLaughlin claimed the 13th D&P and John Smith somehow walked away with the 16th D&P.

Sunday comp was a 2 person ambrose which Mick Gray & Craig Langby won with 56 3/4 nett , Matt Bird & Mick Evans had 58 nett ,  Mick Wilson & Kerry Bensley had 60 1/4 nett , Alan Bill & Russell Schmitt had 62 nett , John Smith & Ray Turner had 62 1/2 nett , Maca & Ian Baxter had 63 nett . Chris Elliott snatched the jackpot hole , Mick Wilson won the 7th NTP , Eddie Sivell took the 14th NTP , Toby Johns got the D&P 13th & Brett Buckley somehow fluked the 16th D&P.

We desperately need someone to take on watering the greens as Trent has resigned due to work commitments .

The Goulburn Soldiers Club Midweek Competition was won by Maxine McLaughlin with 26 pts , Greg Maskill & Trent Cooper came in next with 25 pts each , Maxine McLaughlin , Trent Cooper & Geoff Selmes all had 23 pts , Jon Gegg had a sneaky 22 pts , then Jenni Price , Alan McDonald , Doug Stevens , Tony McLaughlin , Brian Larkin & Tony Clewett all had 21 pts .

Sundays comp was the Monthly Medal which saw Chris Ryan blitz the course with a best ever 70 off the stick 59 nett to win the day comfortably , Chris won the A Grade medal , Tony McLaughlin won B Grade with 66 nett and Doug Stevens won C Grade with 68 nett , Wade Pomery came in second overall with 62 nett , Brett Buckley had 63 nett , Tony McLaughlin 66 nett , John Smith 67 nett , Doug Stevens 68 nett , Eddie Sivell , Alan Bill & Luke Wray all had 70 nett .
