Close results this week. Ratna Rankmore won on a countback from Bryson Plumb, Eddie Hawkins, Tony Clewett, and Joy Leary all on 27. Chris Elliott 26. Special ball went to Helen Carne with 10 points.

Hot conditions didn’t prevent hot scores on Sunday.

Ken Wray won with 45 pts. A great effort. Ball winners were K.Peterson 41, R. Lieschke 40 and T.Heath 39.

Mystery holes were 5,13,16 and was won by K. Peterson on a c/b from T. Heath.

On a course nicely prepared for today’s Pennant competition a small but keen field competed for the Monthly Medal.

Winner  today was IanPeterson with a nett 65.

Gordon Hotel American Foursomes 14/2/2016

On a very warm and threatening day the field was confronted by gusty W to SW winds,  Colin Eggins and Ross Stacey handled the conditions best winning with Nett 55 on a countback from Josh Cooper and Chris Webb. Phil Elliott and Ken Wray on 60 were next best.

Phil Elliott won the Workers Club Nearest to pin on the 5th. Colin Eggins was NTP on the 7th.

Goulburn Soldiers Club weekly 12 hole competition.

The winner was Ron Nunn on a countback from Brian Larkins and Chris Elliott on 26 Ball winners were Matt Hyland 24, Mick Gray 23 and Graham Cave on 21 on a countback. Special ball winner was Helen Carne.

Next Week 21/2/2016 is a 2 person Ambrose.

There will be $1 sausage sizzle after play.

Note Feb. 28  we host pennants so plan to tee off before 7.45am and note no social play until after 3.30pm.

In his best form for months, Gary Spence won the Stableford with 42 points. Ball winners were T.Clewitt, R. Lieschke and C. Eggins on a countback. The 3 mystery holes were won by President Shane Cooper with 8 points on a c/b from Gary Spence.  Nearest the pin winners were S. Cooper on the Goulburn Produce & rural supplies 5th. Hole. D. Grimson on the 7th.  and  J.Smith on the Goulburn Workers club sponsored 8th.

The winner was PHIL Elliott with 26 points. Ball winners were G.Cave 25, Roy McNair 23, Bryan Plumb 22, Mick Grey 22 and Don Grimston 21 on a c/b. Mick Hyland won the Special ball with 12 points.

Par 3 Competition

Rheannah Webb continued her development, winning the Adult competition with a nett 21. Nathan Chandler did extremely well to win the Juniors with a nett 19.

We purchased two nearly new Greens mowers this week and it is already showing its effects on the greens. Thanks to all the volunteers who continue to raise the standards of the course.

Gordon Hotel Monthly Medal

The course quickly recovered from the heavy hailstorm Saturday and apart from some bunkers declared GUR the course was in good condition for the Monthly Medal. This month it was won by B grader, Brian Mills with a fine nett 67. Tom Heath won A grade with a nett 70 and Ron Nunn 72. Ball winners were Trent Cooper 67, Tom Heath 70 and Ron Nunn 72.

The Goulburn Produce and Rural supplies NTP was won by Ian Peterson who also took out the prize on the 7th. Russell Lieschke took out the Goulburn Wokers Club 8th. hole

Russell Schmitt won this weeks comp. with 27 points on a countback from Lachlan Bill.Ball winners were Bryson Plumb 25, Shane Cooper 24 John Peterson beat Brian Larkin on 23 in a countback. The special ball winner this week was Nathan Chandola with 5 points.

Playing their first competition of the year the Juniors won 4 to 2 against Yowani. Both Trent and Jon Gegg won their matches in a pleasing display.

The start of the Penant competition meant a small but keen field this week.Conditions were cool and misty making putting a challenge. Anthony Cooper and Bryan Norris ran out winnners with 58 1/2 points. Ball winners were Ian and Kevin Peterson with 62 while Russell Lieschke and Eddie Hawkins took 63 1/2

Nearest the pin winners were -Ken Wray on the Goulburn Produce and Rural Supplies 5th.
