Sunday Competition 26^th  February 2023

This week was a monthly medal stroke event with 25 starters. The competition winner was Brynn Matthews on nett 62 who also won C grade. A grade winner was Tom Heath on Nett 67, B grade winner was Chris Elliott on nett 65. The ball run down was as follows: Chris Elliot and Greg Robertson on 65, Glenn Baxter and Ian Peterson on 66 and Tom Heath on 67 on a 2 card countback.

The Jackpot hole Argyle Cleaning 17^th hole was not won and will jackpot next week . Nearest the Pin on the Workers Club 8^th was not won this week. Drive and Pitch on the 12^th hole was won by Mitch Cook.

Next week is a single stableford event.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole mid-week competition 23rd  February.

A field of 42 players this week. Julie Hearne won with 30 points. Ball Run Down went as follows: Kevin Breen on 27 points, Russell Sheely on 26 points, Daryl Spence, Scott Sherer, Dean Hearne, Michael McDonald on 25 points, Ian Baxter, Max Sakiasi, Mick Gordon, Wayne Blay on 24 points and Eddie Hawkins, Phil Heath, Lindsey Sergeant and John Blair on 23 points.

Ladies Competition

Ladies competition for 20^th February this week had 8 starters with Maxine McLaughlin the Division 1 winner om 27 2/3 nett. Division 2 winner was Beryl Gray with 35 1/3 nett. The putting competitions were both by the same players with Maxine having 27 putts and Beryl having 35 putts.

The ball rundown went to Heather Buchanan on 30 2/3, Jenni Price on 31 1/3 and Georgina Cook on 32 1/3.

Pennants

Last week we hosted the pennants. Thanks to everyone who assisted in this regard.

Next week we play Crookwell at Murumbidgee.

This week was a 4 Ball Aggregate with 29 starters. The competition winners were John Smith and Ray Turner on 73 points. The ball rundown went to Bill Reid and Andrew Balabka on 69 points, Gary Spence and Chris Elliott on 65 points, Mitch Cook and Andrew Balabla on 64 points and Max Sakiasi and Roly Wong on 63 points..

The Jackpot hole Alan Bill Electrical 7^th hole was won by Chris Elliott. Nearest the Pin on the Goulburn Soldiers hole had no winner this week. Drive and Pitch on the 11^th hole was won by Tom James.

Next week is a the Monthly Medal Stroke event.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole mid-week competition 17^th February.

A field of 46 players this week. Maxine McLAughlin won with 27 points. Ball Run Down went Graham Mansfield and Doug Hearne 26 points, Malcolm Young on 25 points, Mick Gordan, Don Pennay and Graham Todd on 24 points and a very big crew on 23 points.

Ladies Competition

Ladies competition for 13^th  February this week had 13 starters with Jenni Price the Division 1 winner on 36 points. Winner of division 2 was Ruth Beveridge also on 36 points. The ball run down went to Lil Ryan and Heather Buchanan on 34 points, Nicole Minney on 31 points and Maxine McLaughlin on 30 points.

Nearest the pin on the 5^th hole was Heather Buchanan again.

Pennants

Our pennants team drew with Belconnen at Yowani at last week. Bret , Mac and John all had a win and Mick Josh and Ray all went down.

This week we are hosting the division. Next week we play Crookwell at Murumbidgee.

This week was a single stableford with 22 starters. The competition winners was Brynn Matthewson 39 points.  Runner Up was Alan Bill on 37 points on a 3 card countback. The ball rundown went to Russ Schmitt and Lyndsey Sergeant on 37 points,  Chris Elliott, Eddie Sivell and Tom Heath all on 36 points.

The Jackpot hole on the Priceline Pharmacy 2^nd  hole was won by Max Sakiasi. Nearest the Pin winner on the Alan Bill Electrical 7^th hole was Eddie Hawkins       . Drive and Pitch on the D-One Accounting 11^th hole was Chris Ryan.                 .

Ladies competition commenced for 2023 this week. 14 starters with Georgina Cook the winner on 49 points (Wow). Winner of division 2 was Beryl Gray on 34 points. The ball run down went to Maxine McLaughlin, Jenni Price and Heather Buchanan.

Our pennants team Went down 4.5 to 1.5 to Yowani at Yass at last week. Mick Regterschot won 1 up, Ray Turner finished all square, Mac Fife lost 3 and 2, John Smith lost 2 down, Tony McLaughlin lost 5 and 4 and Tom James lost 7 and 6 .

Wayne Minney score a win for the Slater Drafting Par 3 for February after a 3 card countback on 25 nett. Mark Berrisford and Maxine Mclaughlin were in the ball rundown.

A field of 45 players this week. Russell Sheely won the week with 30 points. Ball run down as follows: Dean Hearne 29 points, Julie Hearne, Marty Smith 27 points, Gary Handley, Wayne Blay 26 points, Beryl Gray and Russ Lieschke 25 points, Russ also emptied the Eagles Nest with a 3 on the 3^rd, Jon Gray, Jenni Price, Greg Maksill 24 points, Graham Todd, John Smith, Lindsey Sergeant, Alan McDonald, Andrew Finlaison and John Blair all on 23 points.

Our pennants team halved the match against Yass at Belconnen last week. Mick Regterschot won 1 up, Mac Fife won 2 and 1, John Smith won 5 and 4, Josh Cooper lost 6 and 5, Tony McLaughlin lost 5 and 4 and Tom James lost 4 and 3.

Sunday Competition 29^th January 2023

This week was the monthly medal stroke event with 23 starters.

Brynn Matthews was the outright winner with a Nett 60. Andrew Balabka closely behind with a nett 63. The ball rundown went to Gary Spence 66, Bill Reid 68, Tony Clewett and Alan McDonald 69 and Gary Handley and Ian Baxter on 70 in a 3-card countback.

The Jackpot hole was not won and so will jackpot next week. Nearest the Pin winner on the Mitre 10 5^th hole was Greg Robertson. The Drive and Pitch was won by Ken Wray on the Lee & Thomas 13^th hole.

Ray Turner won the raffle.

Next week is a 2 person Ambrose.

A field of 52 players this week. Lil Ryan had an amazing round scoring 37 points, 8 shots clear of second place. No doubt the handicapper will hit her hard this week. Sunday Competition 22^nd  January 2023

This week was a Single Stableford competition with 23 starters.

Max Sakiasi was the winner the outright winner with 42 points. Peter Gurr followed closey behind with 41 points. The ball rundown went to Tom Heath and Ian Peterson on 38 points , Brynn Mathews on 37 points and Wayne Minney on 36 points in a 3 card countback.

The Jackpot hole Was also won by Max Sakiasi, Well done Max. Nearest the Pin winner on the Goulburn Workers 8^th hole was Alan McDonald. The drive and Pitch was won by John Smith on the Aarons Trees 12^th hole.

This week also saw the mystery holes in play and Tom Heath took that out on a countback from several others on 8 points

Afield of 40 players this week. Russ Schmitt took out the competition with 29 points. The ball run down was as follows: E. Anning and J Blair 28 points, J PriceM McDonald and G. Todd on 27 points, I Baxter and T. McLaughlin on 25 points, T. Clewett and R. Lieschke on 24 points, S Rigby B Gray and J Edwards on 23 points and D Robertson on 22 points in a 4 card countback.

Sunday Competition 15th January 2023

This week was a 4BBB Stableford competition with 31 starters.

Wayne and Nicole Minney took out top spot with 47 points. Nicole had a great individual round with 43 points. The ball run down went to Russ Schmitt and Alan Bill, Russ Lieschke and Ed Hawkins on 46 points, Tony Clewett and Ken Wray on 45 points and Andrew Balabka and Mitch Cook on 44 points

The Jackpot hole had no winner and jackpots next week. Nearest the Pin winner on the Alan Bill Electrical 7^th hole was Kerry Bensley. The drive and Pitch was won by Bill Reid on the Ginny’s Carpentry 1^st  hole.

Nicole Minney twice, Garry Hundley, Ron Nunn 26points, John Gray, Kim Fahey, A. Finlaison, Phil Heath, Maxine McLAughlin 25 Points and Don Pennay Ian Baxter 24 points on a 4 card countback.

Par 3 Competition 14^th January

The Slater drafting Par 3 Winner was Marley Buckley on 25 on a 3 countback. The ball rundown went to Graham Mansfield 25, Jason Slater 27, Maxine McLaughlin 28 on a 3 card countback.

Please note the course will be closed until 1.00pm this Thursday 19^th January for the Vets competition.

Sunday Competition

Chris Ryan won the B Grade monthly medal and stroke event with nett 60 on Sunday with a 34 player field.  Brett Buckley took A Grade with nett 65 and Darrell Spence took C grade with nett 67. Ken Wray won second place for his 64 while the rundown included Ian Peterson 67, James Wilson 67, Tom Minney 67, Don Grimston 68, Bill Reid 68, Tom Heath 69 and John Smith 69 after a 5 card countback.

Nearest the pin on the Priceline Pharmacy 2^nd and the drive and pitch on Carpet Court 16^th both went to Chris Ryan while Roly Wong won the jackpot on the Mitre 10 hole.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Comp

Kerry Bensley had a return to form scoring 30 points for the Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole event. In a 52 strong field Greg maskill was next on 29, Lil Ryan had 28, Andrew Finlaison 28 followed by Brian Larkin, Darrell Spence, Tom Minney and Don Grimston all on 27. The rundown went to 24.

Slater Drafting Par 3

The first Par 3 for 2023 is on this Saturday with tee off from 7.30am to 11am. Cost is only $7/ player

Sunday Competition 1^st January 2023

The first competition for the year saw 17 starters compete in a single stableford competition. The win being awarded to the best score for their best 9 holes.

Don Grimston took out the prize with 26 points. The ball run down went to Ian Baxter on 25 points and Ron Nunn and Lindsay Sergeant on 24 points.

The Jackpot hole winner was Ian Baxter on the Alan Bill Electrical 7^th. Nearest the Pin winner was Russ Lieschke on the Goulburn Soldiers 14^th hole. The drive and Pitch was won by Gary Spence on the D.One Accounting 11^th hole.

Next week is the December Monthly Medal Round.

A huge field of 58 players contested this weeks competition. Ratna Ranknore took out the top prize with 30 points. There were 20 players in the ball run down which went down to 25 points. Well done to Phil Heath for consistency who played twice and won a ball both times.

Another big field of 46 players this week. The ladies dominated this week coming in the first three places with Fran Miners taking the competition out with a strong 32 points.
