Tully Park News 8-02-2015

Gordon Hotel Sunday Competition

This week the Gordon Hotel Competition was an American Foresomes with Shane Cooper and Col Eggins taking out the day with 62 3/8. Roy McNair and Mick Gray 62 1/2, Trent Cooper and John Gegg 63 1/8 and John Smith with Chris Elliott 66 7/8 all claiming a ball in the run down. Nearest to the pin on the Goulburn Produce 5th and the Tully Park 7th went to Trent Cooper with the nearest to the pin on the Goulburn Workers Club 6th going to Chris Elliott. Next week the Gordon Hotel Sunday comp is a 2 Person Ambrose so grab a partner and come down for a hit social players are welcome.

Once again the club would like to acknowledge the hard work that all the volunteers have been putting into the course the place looks great and it is a testament to the members we have. If anybody would like to help around the course speak to a committee member and they will happily find something to suit your availability and skill set.

Goulburn Soldiers Club Mid Week Competition

This week the Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole stabelford competition was taken out by Trent Cooper with a huge 30 points. Brian Larkin 26, Eddie Hawkins 25 and Kerry Bensley 24 all collected a ball for their efforts. Come down during the week for a hit the comp only costs $7.

Tully Park Early Birds Pennants 

The boys got their title defense off to a winning start at home last week with a 4.5 to 1.5 win over the team from Gold Creek. This week the boys traveled down to face Murrumbidgee for Round 2 hoping to continue their winning run. Marty Hunter, Tim James, Shane Jervis and Russ Lieschke all got up in their matches with Adam Boxsell squaring his match and Gary Spence going down in a close one.  The results gave Tully a 4.5 to 1.5 win, well done guys. The team heads down to Queanbeyan next Sunday for Round 3. Good luck fellas.

Gordon Hotel Sunday Competition

This week the Gordon Hotel Competition was a Stableford with Brian Mills taking out the win with 43 points to smash the nearest competitors by 6 points. Tony Clewett, Josh Cooper, John Smith, Col Eggins and Tom Heath decided to all have 37 Shane Cooper, Trent Cooper and Mick Harris with 36 all claimed a ball in the run down. Nearest to the pin on the Goulburn Produce 5th was Ken Wray. Next week the Gordon Hotel Sunday comp is an American Foresomes so grab a partner and come down for a hit.

Gordon Hotel Sunday Competition

This week the Gordon Hotel Competition was the Monthly Medal stroke and was taken out by club young gun Trent Cooper with a nett 63 to also win A Grade. Russ Schmitt 67 and Eddie Hawkins 67 won B and C Grade respectively. The ball rundown saw Russ Lieschke 65, Ray Turner and Col Eggins with 70 grab a rock. Nearest to the pin on the Goulburn Workers Club 8th went to Adam Boxsell and the Drive and Pitch on the Kev’s Meats 12th went to Lachlan Bill. Next week the Gordon Hotel Sunday comp is a stableford.

This week the Gordon Hotel Competition was a 4 Man Ambrose with Josh Cooper, Anthony Cooper, Shane Jervis and Bryan Norris taking out the win with a nett 50 7/8. The team of Mick Gray, Wayne Gray, Roy McNair and Craig Langby came in second with 51 1/4. Nearest to the pin on the Goulburn Produce 5th was Tom Heath and on the Goulburn Workers Club 8th Adam Boxsell. Next week the Gordon Hotel Sunday comp the Monthly Medal Stroke competition.

There were some new water features around the course with rain washing out the comp this week. Next Sunday will be a 4 person Ambrose so rustle up a team and come down for a hit.

Nearest to the pin on the Goulburn Produce 5th and the Goulburn Soldiers Club 14th went to Mick Gray with the drive and pitch going to Trent Cooper on the Kev’s Quality Meats 12th. Next week the Gordon Hotel Sunday comp is a Par event.

Gordon Hotel Sunday Competition

This week the Gordon Hotel Competition was a 4 Man Ambrose with the gun side of Roy McNair Shane Cooper, Shane Jervis and Mick Gray taking out the mens comp with nett 53 1/4. The mixed comp was taken out by Ross Stacey, Col Eggins, Beryl Gray and Ron Nunn with 55 on a count back over Chris Webb, Rheannah Webb, Russ Schmitt and Judy Moran. Anthony Cooper, Trent Cooper, Josh Cooper John Gegg, Russ Leischke, John Blair, Eddie Hawkins, Gary Spence, Eddie Sivell, Tom Heath and Brian Mills all collected a ball. The club presentations were held after the golf with a great time had by all. The committee would like to thank all the volunteers for all their work throughout the year that keeps the course running. Next week the Gordon Hotel Sunday comp is a stableford.

This week the Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole stabelford competition was taken out by club Vice President Mick Gray with 26 points. Glenn Wharton 25 and Brian Larkin 25 collected a ball with Don Pennay collecting a ball with 16 points. Come down during the week for a hit the comp only costs $7.

Gordon Hotel Sunday Competition

This week the Gordon Hotel Competition was the 4BBB Captain v President. The steam rolling duo of Brian Mills and Tommy Heath wrapped up another team competition win with 50 points. The ball rundown saw Mick Gray, Roy McNair, Trent Cooper, Shane Cooper, Graham Cave, Tonk Turner, Phil Elliott and Chris Elliott collect a ball. The nearest to the pins went to Tom Heath on the Goulburn Produce 5th and to Tonk Turner on the Goulburn Workers Club 8th. The eagles nest went off for the second consecutive week when Tom Heath holed out from 110m on the par 5 3rd well done Tommy. The results saw the Captains team collect the honors this year. Next week is the Gala Day 4 Man Ambrose followed by club presentations.
