Sunday Competition
Eddie Sivell surprised even himself with his great round of 39 points on Sunday to win the stableford event. Bill Reid managed an eagle on the D.One Accounting 11th as part of his 38 points to take second prize. Tom James and Kerry Bensley also made 38 followed by Tim Elliott 37 as he took the mystery holes for January in a 6 card countback on 7 points. The mystery holes were Merino Fuels 3rd, BC Training 6th and Chris Ryan Plumbing 18th. On 36 points were Jesse Cao, winner of the Jackpot hole for the Goulburn Soldiers Club 14th, James Will and Russell Lieschke. Ryan Saville and Mick Regterschot finished the rundown for the 35 player field each with 35 points after a countback. Tom Heath won the Worker’s Club nearest the pin on the 8th and Chris Ryan won the drive and pitch on the Carpet Court 16th.
Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole
Liam Harmer has made his first competition memorable with a win in the 12 hole Goulburn Soldiers Club competition. Liam came in with 27 points ahead of a strong field of 30 players. Mark Berrisford, Russ Schmitt and Tony McLaughlin all had 25, followed by Alan McDonald on 23. Greg Robertson, Stephen Apps, Michael Brown and Tony Clewett all had 22 and Max Sakiasi took the final ball in the rundown with his 21 after a countback.
