Sunday Competition
Tony Clewett won the stableford event on 39 points after a countback with Russell Lieschke. Jeremy Harrison made 38 and Ray Turner 37. Don Grimston made up the rundown on 36 on countback. Ken Wray won the nearest the Pin on the 5th hole sponsored by Goulburn Produce and Mitre 10 and the drive and pitch on Kev’s Quality Meats 12th was won by Ray Turner.
Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Comp
Russell Schmitt won the 12 hole comp last week with 28 points ahead of Josh Cooper and Chris Ryan on 26. Don Grimston, Graham Tasker, Margaret Gibson and Alan Bill all had 25 in a rundown that went to 23 on countback.
Minor Championships
After round 1 the Gross leaders were Ray Turner 48 (A grade), Russell Schmitt 51 (B Grade), Eddie Sivell 57 (C Grade) and Heather Buchanan 56 (Ladies). The nett leaders were Jeremy Harrison 40.66 (A), Russell Schmitt 39.66 (B), Eddie Sivell 43 (C) and Beryl Gray 46.66 (Ladies)
Notices: May 13 Stroke + Minor champ’s R3. Minor championships final round commences from the Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole competition commencing on Friday May 11 at 10am. Each minor Championship round will cost $15. The par 3 for May is on Saturday the 12th with tee off from 8am. Thank you to the volunteers for all of your efforts in making the Vets day a great success.
Ladies
Heather Buchanan was the winner in division 1 of the stableford event last week with 32 points while Beryl Gray took out division 2 with 30. Joy Leary 30, Georgina Cook 30, Ruth Beveridge 26 and Bev Grocott 26 made up the rundown.
Tully ladies play 18 hole events on Monday mornings meeting at 8.30am. Ladies also play on Tuesdays over 12 holes also at 8.30am.
