Sunday Competition

The 2 Person Ambrose event at Tully on Sunday was won on countback by Chris Lewis and Luke Dixon on 62.5 nudging out Tony McLaughlin and Wade Pomery. Next best were Chris Elliot and Ray Turner 65  , Russell Schmitt and Alan Bill 65.75, Kirby Croker and Chris Toole 66.75 and Tom James and Sam McDonald on 67.

Jackpot Mitre 10 hole was won by Chris Elliott (sorry Chris a near hole in one does not count. Nearest the pins were won by Tony McLaughlin on the BC Training 6th and Alan Bill Electrical 7th ,  Ken Wray won for the Workers Club 8th and Tom James got the Goulburn Soldiers Club 9th. The drive and pitch on the Lee and Thomas  13th was Chris Lewis and the Carpet Court 16th was Tom heath and Chris Ryan.

Sunday August 24 is a Stableford 4BBB . Also note that the August monthly medal is back to  August 31.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Competition

Wayne Blay had 24 points last week for a win in the 12 hole competition. Garry Handley came in with 23 then Doug Stevens and John Blair on 22. On 21 were Hayden Ward, Don Grimston, Lindsay Sergeant and Tony Clewett. Then Craig Brown finished the rundown with  20.

Reminder that September 10, after the 12 hole comp finishes for the morning will be the start of the annual Kevin Allen Consistency competition.  A player’s best round each week will count toward the competition and the best 4 rounds weekly rounds over the 6 weeks are totalled. First, second and third prizes are on offer.

Ladies

Ratna Rankmore won division 1 of the stableford event with 34 points last week. Division 2 winner was Lil Ryan on 31. The rundown included Georgina Cook 33 and Gail Kennerley on 28.mat

Heather Buchanan won the mystery holes after a countback with Ratna Rankmore for 6 points on the Goulburn Solar 3rd, Alan Bill Electrical 7th and ARW 15th.

The Bag raid event saw Sam McDonald and Brynn Matthews top the winners list with nett 63.25. Next best were Ken Wray and Don Grimston on 64.75. Brynn also took the nearest the pin on the Worker’s Club 8th while Luke Wray won the Alan Bill Electrical 7th. Roly Wong and Tony McLaughlin won the drive and pitch on the Carpet Court 16th.

Congratulations to Simon Jiang and Max Sakiasi who will play each other for the Kevin and Noeline Peterson Matchplay Final.

Kim Fahey made his way to the winner’s podium last week with 24 points ahead of a tight field with Garry Handley 23, Ken Wray 22, Sam Cosgrove 22, Wayne Blay 21, Darryl Robertson 21, Craig Hussey 20 and Lindsay Sergeant 20 c/b.

Sunday Competition

Tom James won Sunday’s stableford event with 37 points. Brynn Matthews took second with 36. Chris Ryan 36, Tony McLaughlin 33, Luke Wray 33, Andrew Balabka 32, Sam McDonald 30, Mac Fife 30 and Ian Peterson 29 were all in the rundown.

Mystery Holes winner was Alan McDonald with 7 points for the BC Training, C L Concrete and Aaron’s trees holes. The jackpot winner was Andrew Balabka on the Mitre 10 hole, Chris Ryan took nearest the pin prizes on the BC Training 6th and Goulburn Soldiers Club 14th holes. Other nearest the pins went to Eddie Sivell on the Alan Bill Electrical 7th, and Tony McLaughlin on the Goulburn Soldiers Club 9th. Drive and pitch winners were Mac Fife on the Lee and Thomas 13th and Max Sakiasi for the Carpet Court 16th.

Sunday Competition

Tony McLaughlin played the best in the inclement weather on Sunday to score nett 72 for the B Grade medal and the Stroke event win.

Mac Fife took the A Grade with 73 and Luke Wray won C Grade with 75. All three have qualified for the Gold Medal playoff later this year.   The rundown also included Tom James 73 and, while also taking the nearest the pin on Alan Bill Electrical and the drive and pitch on Lee and Thomas holes, Bill Reid returned a round of 74.

Sunday August 3 is a stableford with mystery holes.

Stroke event with Georgina Cook best in for Division 1 on 65 nett and Ruth Beveridge taking division 2 on 71. Ball rundown went to Frances Miners 72, Heather Buchanan 76 and Lil Ryan 76. Putting prizes for the round went to Georgina with 28 and Ruth 35.

The Bowmaker event was won by the team of Chris Francis, Kim Fahey, Wayne Blay and Phil Heath with a total score of 128. Runners up for the round were Ian Baxter, Wade Pomery, Max Sakiasi and Tony McLaughlin on 103. Following them on 102 were Doug Stevens, Dean Horne, Sam McDonald and Tom James and then Luke Wray Don Grimston, Ian Peterson and Ken Wray on 101. The Mitre 10 jackpot hole went to Brett Buckley, Russ Schmitt picked up the nearest the pin on the Alan Bill Electrical hole, the drive and pitches were won by Toby Johns on the Lee and Thomas hole and Tom Heath on the Carpet Court hole.

Alan McDonald took centre stage again backing up his recent good form over the 12 holes with 25 points. Tony Clewett, Darryl Robertson, Garry Handley and Ken Wray each had 21 for the rundown.

Last Monday the Tully Ladies played a stableford with Mystery Holes. The winner on 32 points was Georgina Cook and the ball rundown included Ruth Beveridge on 29. Lil Ryan won the mystery holes with 8 points on the AJM Windows, Lee and Thomas and Goulburn Soldiers Club holes.

The 2 person Ambrose attracted 20 teams with Habib Sorial and Jarrod Twaddell returning a nett 60 for the win. Jesse Cao/ Josh Wattling were next on 62.5, Brynn Matthews/ Max Sakiasi had 63, Ian Baxter/ Luke Wray 63.5, Chris Ryan /Tom Heath 62.75, Grant Mooney / Bill Reid 64.25 and Mick Regterschot /Mac Fife had 65.25.

Mick Gray won the Mitre 10 jackpot hole, Habib Sorial was nearest the pin on Alan Bill Electrical, Mick Regterschot/ Mac Fife took the Lee and Thomas drive and pitch and Mitch Cook’s team won the Carpet Court drive and Pitch.

Sunday July 20 is a Bowmaker event. Teams of maximum 4 players, first 6 holes add best 2 stableford scores, next 6 add best 3 scores and final 6 add all scores. The AGM will be early August.

Sunday Competition

Brynn Matthews scored 41 points for an emphatic win in the stableford event on Sunday. Max Sakiasi and Tom Heath were next best on 36 then Sam McDonald and Luke Wray both had 35. Chris Ryan , Ian Peterson and Ken Wray all had 34 for the rundown. Max Sakiasi won the mystery holes for Ginny’s Carpentry 1st, Alan Bill Electrical 7th and The Agency 15th.  The Jackpot hole went without a winner this week but will carry over, Luke Wray was nearest the pin on the Alan Bill Electrical and the tough Goulburn Soldiers Club hole also went begging.  Max Sakiasi won The Lee and Thomas drive and pitch and the Carpet Court winner was Sam McDonald.

Sunday July 13 is a 2 Person Ambrose. The AGM will be early August.

The Tully Ladies played a 3 stick and putter round last Monday with Ratna Rankmore the division 1 winner and Lil Ryan taking out division 2, both had 30 points. The rundown went to Georgina Cook 29 and Gail Kennerley 27 with Gail also winning the nearest the pin.

After a countback Corey Willmott was the best last week over the 12 holes with 23 points just nudging Dean Horne out of the top spot. Julie Hearne put in a good performance to finish with 22 as did Sam Cosgrove.

Sunday Competition

The stroke event was won by Mac Fife on 68 after countback and also picking up the A Grade monthly medal for June. The B Grade winner was Tom Heath with 68 and Gary Handley 68 for C Grade. The rundown included Ken Wray 68, Chris Ryan, Mick Wilson and Eddie Sivell all on 70, and Max Sakiasi 71.

The nearest the pins were won by Max Sakiasi  for the Alan Bill Electrical 7th and the drive and pitch on the Lee and Thomas 13th was Mick Wilson. The Jackpot on the Mitre 10 hole was won by Mick Gray.

Sunday July 6 is a single stableford event.

Ratna Rankmore won the mystery hole with 8 points on the Mitre 10, Argyle Cleaning and Alan Bill Electrical holes, 5th, 17th and 18th.

Sunday Competition

The Ambrose event was won with a nett 56.6 by Chris Toole, Jeff Burton, Ian Ginn, Greg Croker and Kirby Croker.  Teams of Brynn Matthews Sam McDonald, Max Sakiasi and Tom James   and Luke Dixon, Tony McLaughlin, Chris Lewis and Adam Rowe both finished on 59.5 and the final balls in the rundown went to Alan Bill, Alan McDonald, Lindsay Sergeant and Rusell Schmitt on 59 and 5/8.

The nearest the pins went to Glenn Baxter and Chris Toole for the Alan Bill Electrical and Goulburn Soldiers Club holes, the drive and pitch went to Alan Bill on the Lee and Thomas hole and to Luke Dixon for the Carpet Court hole.

Sunday June 29 is a stroke Monthly Medal competition.

Lindsay Sergeant held the pack at bay after a countback for his 23 points secured him the 12 hole win last week in the Goulburn Soldiers Club competition. Dean Hearne and Mick Wilson also had 23, Mick Gordon, Marty Smith and Alan McDonald all 22 and Roly Wong took the final ball in the rundown with 21.

Ladies Competition

Ratna Rankmore won the division 1 stoke event on Monday last week with nett 74. Frances Miners won division 2 also with 74. Heather Buchanan won the Div 1 putting comp and made the ball rundown with 33 putts and nett 75.Gail Kennerley won Div 2 putting with 32 on countback. Maxine McLauchlin and Gail both had 76 nett to also be in the rundown for the day.

Sunday June 22 is a 4 Person Ambrose so get your teams ready.

Tom James and Sam McDonald teamed up and scored 67 points to win the 4 Ball Aggregate on Sunday, ahead of Mitch Cook/ Mac Fife 64, Ray Turner/ Chris Elliott 62, Alan McDonald/ Lindsay Sergeant 61, Tom Heath/ Chris Ryan 58 and Ken Wray/ Don Grimston 58 for the rundown. The Jackpot Mitre 10 hole and Goulburn Soldiers Club 14th were won by Luke Dixon, Eddie Sivell won the nearest the pin for Alan Bill Electrical, Mac Fife and Mitch Cook took the Lee and Thomas and Carpet Court drive and pitch wins respectively.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Competition

The winner, on countback, for last week’s Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole competition was Greg Maskill. John Smith also had 24 followed closely by Brynn Matthews, Kerry Bensley and Lindsay Sergeant all on 23. Chris Ryan, Kim Fahey, Dean Horne and Ken Wray each had 22 and Doug Stevens 21 on countback took the final ball.

Ladies Competition

Georgina Cook took division 1 for the stableford event with 25 points on a countback over the in form Maxine McLaughlin who won the nearest the pin for the day. Division 2 went to Lil Ryan on 24 points. The rundown included Maxine, Ruth Beveridge 20 and Frances Miners 23.
