Ladies golf results for Monday 21st October , the ladies played their 18 hole stroke & putting event which Georgina Cook won division 1 with 75 nett on C/B from Maxine McLaughlin , Lil Ryan won division 2 with 71 nett . Maxine McLaughlin won the putting aspect of division 1 with 32 putts & Ruth Beveridge won division 2 with 30 putts on C/B , The ball rundown then went to Maxine McLaughlin 75 nett , Jenni Price 76 nett and Heather Buchanan with 77 nett .

The Goulburn Soldiers Club midweek competition was won by Scott Sherer with 24 pts , Russell Lieschke and Tony Clewett both had 23 pts , Chris Lewis , Kim Fahey , Hayden Ward , Lindsay Sergeant and Dean Horne all had 22 pts , Brett Buckley and Maxine McLaughlin both had 21 pts.

Sunday Competition was a 2 person ambrose which Trent Cooper & Bill Reid won with 60 3/4 nett , next were Chris Lewis & Luke Dixon with 61 1/2 nett, Justin Cross & Sam Woodberry totalled 62 1/4 nett ,Eddie Sivell & Simon Jiang managed 62 3/4 nett and Brett Buckley & Sam Cosgrove got away with 64 nett . Bill Reid was best at the jackpot hole .

This Saturday is round 1 of the championships and they will be played as preferred lies throughout the green due to the course not having enough volunteers to mow it adequately to host such an event , unfortunately the rough in places will make it very difficult for members to find their balls .

Ladies results for 14th October 2024 , Ladies played a 18 hole stroke & putting event which saw the division 1 winner as Heather Buchanan with 70 nett and division 2 winner to be Lil Ryan with 73 nett . Putting winner for division 1 was Heather Buchanan on C/B with 30 putts and Ruth Beveridge taking out division 2 with 36 putts . The ball rundown went to Georgina Cook with 75 nett & Maxine McLaughlin with 76 nett .

The Goulburn Soldiers Club Midweek comp was won by Greg Maskill with 25 pts , Liam Harmer & Brian Larkin followed up  with 23 pts , Ian Baxter , John Gray , David King , Tony Clewett , Malcolm Young & Lindsay Sergeant al had 22 pts .

Sunday Competition was a 4 Ball Aggregate and Justin Cross & Mitch Cook were triumphant amassing 70 pts , Russell Lieschke & Eddie Hawkins came in 2nd with 66 pts ,Ken Wray & Luke Wray had 65 pts . Tony Clewett & Don Grimston had 64 pts , Lindsay Sergeant & Alan McDonald had 63 pts .  Max Sakiasi won the Jackpot Hole as well as the NTP 14th , Matt Bird won the NTP 7th , Dean Horne collected the D&P 13th whilst Grant Mooney took the D&P 16th . Jesse Cao jagged an eagle on the par 5 15th hole .

Next week is a 2 person ambrose . members please be reminded that there is only preferred lies on the fairway of the hole you are playing only . Championships begin Saturday 26th October 2024 and the rounds 3 & 4 will be seeded .

Ladies played  their 18 hole stableford which had the outcome as Ruth Beveridge winning with 30 pts on C/B , NTP was Georgina Cook and the ball rundown was heather Buchanan 28 pts & Jenni Price 26 pts .

The Goulburn Soldiers Club Midweek Comp was won by David King with 25 pts on C/B from Mal Maher , Ian Baxter , Ian Peterson & Tony McLaughlin all finished up with 24 pts , Don Pennay , Martell Maher , Russell Lieschke & Marty Smith all had 23 pts , Peter Webster managed 22 pts . Russell Lieschke claimed the eagles nest with an eagle on the 11th hole .

Sunday Competition was a stableford and Doug Stevens snuck away with the main prize scoring 36 pts , Matt Bird came in with 33 pts , John Smith & Alan Bill both shot 32 pts whilst Eddie Sivell & Ian Peterson both came in with 31 pts . Eddie Sivell took home the mystery holes prize , Tony Mclaughlin was closest on the D&P 13th & 16th holes . No one got even close to the jackpot or the NTP holes .

Tony McLaughlin lost to Ian Peterson in their round of the Matchplay and this leaves Ian Peterson to play Andrew Balabka in the final for the major prize and honours . They will play the final round on Sunday the 20th October 2024

Next week is a 4 Ball Aggregate , there will only be  “preferred lies” only on the fairway you are playing in preparation for the championships beginning 26th October 2024 .

Ladies played their 2 Person Ambrose & NTP Event , the winners were Georgina Cook & Heather Buchanan with 73 1/4 nett , NTP winners were Jenni Price & Lil Ryan .

The Goulburn Soldiers Club Midweek comp was won this week by John Blair easily with 26 pts , followed by Scott Sherer who shot 24 pts , Bryan Norris on 22 pts , then Tony Clewett , Dean Horne & Ian Baxter all with 21 pts , Malcolm, Young & Ken Wray both with 20 pts.

Sunday was the Monthly Medal which had Matt Bird winning with 64 nett on C/B from Justin Cross , Ray Turner won the A Grade division with a solid 68 nett , Simon Jiang took out B Grade also with 68 nett & Matt Bird won C Grade , after those blokes the ball rundown went to Mick Evans 68 nett ,  Roly Wong  , Alan McDonald & Max Sakiasi all having tallied 70 nett , Alan Bill managed 71 nett , Tony Clewett , Dean Horne & Doug Stevens all scored 72 nett . Roly Wong took the Jackpot Hole 5th , Graeme Nesbitt claimed both the NTP holes , Josh Cohen won the D&P 13th leaving Max Sakiasi with the D&P 16th .

Ladies played their 18 hole stroke & putting event , Lil Ryan triumphed with 39 nett , Jenni Price took out the putting with 39 putts and Heather Buchanan won the ball rundown with 39 1/3 nett .

The Goulburn Soldiers Club Midweek was won last week by Mr Doug Stevens with an awesome 27 pts , Chris Lewis closely followed with 26 pts whilst Luke Dixon came home with 24 pts , then a mob consisting of Roly Wong , Josh Cohen , Alan McDonald , Hayden Ward & Greg Maskill all had 23 pts and Andrew Finlaison snuck in with 22 pts .

The Sunday competition was a Par Event that Max Sakiasi easily won with +3 , followed by Alan McDonald & Doug Stevens both with +1 , Dean Horne ended being square , then Ray Turner & Ben Hogan both finished with -1 . Glenn Baxter won the Jackpot Hole again , Chris Ryan snatched the NTP 7th & the D&P 16th , Max Sakiasi  claimed the NTP 14th and Ken Wray went away with the D&P 13th .

Sunday competition was a stableford which saw Tony McLaughlin come home with 38 pts beating Matt Bird who had 37 pts , Mick Evans had 34 pts , Ian Baxter , Glenn Baxter & Darryl Robertson all had 33 pts , Luke Dixon finished with 32 pts , Isacc Lanham , Tony Clewett & Russell Schmitt all had 31 pts . Luke Dixon won the jackpot hole , Wade Pomery collected the 7th NTP , Alan Bill took the 14th NTP , Ian Baxter claimed the 13th D&P whilst visitor Joe Smith took the 16th D&P . Wade Pomery was beaten in his club match play with Andrew Balabka who now moves onto play the winner of Ian Peterson & Tony McLaughlin for the title and honours . Elsey Slater won the Jason Slater Drafting 9 hole par 3  event on Saturday .

Ladies played a Stableford and Mystery Holes with Georgina Cook winning with 33 pts , Lil Ryan won the mystery holes with 6 pts and Beryl Gray won the ball rundown with19 pts .

The Goulburn Soldiers Club Midweek was won by Eddie Hawkins with 2 pts , Ken Wray & John Blair both claimed 26 pts , Ian Baxter had 25 pts , Wade Pomery managed 24 pts along with Mick Gordon , Mark Berrisford , Glenn Baxter and Scott Sherer , Dean Horne followed up with 23 pts .

Sunday’s competition was a 4 Ball Best Ball which Ian Baxter & Tony Clewett won easily with 43 pts , next best were Alan McDonald & Russell Schmitt on countback with 38 pts from Eddie Sivell & Glenn Baxter , Ken Wray & Ian Peterson had 37 pts . Justin Cross claimed the jackpot hole , Alan McDonald won the 7th NTP , Max Sakiasi took the 14th NTP , Trent Cooper was best at the D&P 13th and Ian Peterson snagged the 16th D&P .

Next week is a Stableford and the AGM will be held Sunday at 1.30 pm

The AGM has been set for the 22nd September 2024 at the clubhouse for 1pm , all are invited to attend .

Mitch Cook took the Jackpot Hole , Mac Fife snared the 7th NTP , Lindsay Sergeant jagged the 14th NTP , Gary Spence claimed the D&P 13th and Russell Lieschke was best with the 16th D&P . Alan McDonald won the mystery holes with 8 pts on C/B

The ladies their 18 hole Stroke & putting event , the division 1 winner was Heather Buchanan with 76 nett , the division 2 winner was Lil Ryan with 81 nett . The putting was won by Heather Buchanan in division 1 with 28 putts and the division 2 winner was Ruth Beveridge with 33 putts . The ball rundown went to Maxine McLaughlin who had 78 nett & Georgina Cok with 79 nett.

The Goulburn Soldiers Club Midweek Competition was won by Tony McLaughlin who scored 27 pts followed by Ian Peterson & Ian Baxter both having shot 24 pts , Kim Fahey scored 22 pts , Tony Clewett & Russell Lieschke both had 21 pts , then eddie Hawkins , Chris Lewis & Adam Rowe all managed to score 19 pts , whilst Lindsay Sergeant & Jeff Edwards came home with 18 pts .

Sunday was the Monthly Medal , a torrid event with ultimately Tony McLaughlin rising to the top on countback over Darrell Spence on countback with 68 nett , overall the day saw Russell Lieschke ( 70 nett ) win A Grade , Tony McLaughlin ( 68 nett ) won B Grade & Darrell Spence ( 68 nett ) won C Grade  , the ball rundown from there went to Russell Lieschke & Simon Jian both with  70 nett , Mac Fife , Chris Lewis & Ian Baxter all with 71 nett , Mick Gray , Andrew Balabka & Kerry Bensley all with 72 nett . Mr Roly Wong , the master of the Jackpot Hole , took that prize home for the second week in a row , Russell Lieschke claimed the 7th NTP , Andrew Balabka took the 13th D&P , Chris Lewis jagged the 16th D&P .

Next Sunday is a Stableford & Mystery Holes Event , the AGM has been deferred as we are awaiting the paperwork from the auditor and will announce the date once the paperwork comes n .
