The overall winner was Tom Minney with 66 Nett and overall runner up was Tom James

A grade winner was Mick Gray with 70 nett

B grade winner was Tom Minney nett 66

C grade winner was Tony Clewett with 72 nett

The Jackpot hole on the Alan Bill 7th hole was won by Greg Robertson.

 

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole mid-week competition 23rd February.

Liam Harmer had a win this week with 27 points over the other 24 starters. The ball rundown went to: Russ Sheely, Garry Handley, Graham Todd and Lindsey Sergeant on 26 points, John Smith , Malcolm Young on 25 points and Mick McDonald and Phil Heath on 24 points.

Ladies Competition 20th March 2023

This week was a stroke and putting competition.

A Division winner was Jenni Price with a 66 nett

B division winner was Lil Ryan with a 72 nett

A division putting was won by Maxine McLaughlin with 26 putts

B Division putting was won by Beryl Howe with 30 putts

The ball rundown wen to Heather Buchanan on 71 nett, Beryl Gray on 70 nett and Maxine McLaughlin on 67 nett.

Pennants

Pennants is over for another year and even though the team had their best win in the last week unfortunately other results needed to fall our way for the team to progress. Congratulations on your efforts.

Sunday Competition 19h March 2023

Congratulations to Max Sakiasi for his hole in one on the Mitre 10 hole last week.

With 17 starters for the stableford in the heat on Sunday it was Wayne Minney who took the winners prize with 44 points. Chris Elliott and Chris Ryan both had 40 and gary Spence took the final ball on 36. The Alan Bill Electrical nearest the pin was won by Tony Clewett  and Chris ryan won the drive and pitch on the carpet court hole.

Ian Baxter took the jackpot on the Mitre 10 hole at 3.6m.

Next week is the monthly medal Stroke round.

 

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole mid-week competition .

Graham Mansfield had a countback win over Greg maskill on 26 points last week in a field of 35 starters. On 25 were Wayne blay, Kim Fahey, Alan McDonald, Stephen Rigby and Lindsay Sergeant. Dean hearne and Andrew Finlayson each had 24 and on 23 were Marty Smith and Tony McLaughlin.

Ladies Competition

Beryl Howe won last weeks stableford event with 38 points with Maxine Mclaughlin and Ruth Beveridge both next on 33. Ruth Beveridge took themystery hooles for march with 8 points on the BioCleanse, Goulburn Soldiers Club and Alan Bill Electrical holes.

Mixed Foursomes

Sophia DeVries and Tom Minney teamed up best for  the day with nett 65. Beryl and Mick Gray took second placed with 66. The ball rundown for the day included Julie and dean hearne 70, Bryan and Chris Norris 70.5, Jenni Price and Peter Gurr 71.5 and Tony and Maxine McLaughlin 72. Thanks to the Minney’s for their sponsorship of the day.

Sunday Competition 12th March 2023

This week was a stroke event with 24 starters. Overall winner was Tony McLaughlin on 63, Runner up was Ken Wray on 64. The ball rundown was as follows Tom Heath 64, Max Sakiasi, Andrew Balabka and Alan McDonald 66, Greg Robertson and Chris Elliott on 67.

A big Congratulations to Max Sakiasi who shot a hole in one on the 5th  hole

The Jackpot hole on the Goulburn Workers Club 8th hole had no winner and will jackpot next week. Nearest the Pin on the Goulburn Soldiers Club 9th hole was won by Trent Cooper. Drive and Pitch on the D-One Accounting 11th hole was won by Alan McDonald.

A field of 28 players this week. Julie Hearne won with 25 points on a 3 card countback. The ball rundown was at follows: Ian Baxter and Dean Hearne also on 25 points, Stephen Rigby and Wayne Blay on 24 points, Liam Harmer Scott Sherer and Maxine McLaughlin on 23 points and Nicole Minney and Andrew Finlaison on 22 points.

Ladies Competition

Ladies’ competition for 6th March. The winner of Division 1 was Heather Buchanan with 87 gross. Nett winner was Nicole Minney on 80 nett. Division 2 winner was Beryl Gray with a score of 106. Nett winner was Jenni Price with 79 nett. Division 3 winner was Beryl Howe with 115 and the nett winner was Ruth Beveridge on 70 nett. Putting competitions were won by Division 1 Heather Buchanan with 31 putts, Division 2 was Beryl Gray with 32 points and Division 3 was Beryl Gray with 35 points.

The ball rundown went to Maxine McLaughlin on 83, Ratna Rankmore on 81, Lil Ryan on 103 and Francis Miners on 101

Pennants

The Pennants team had a good win against Fairburn G.C. 5 – 1 and are still in the hunt for the finals.

Slater Drafting Par 3 Competition

Winner was Maxine McLaughlin on 23 nett. The ball rundown went to Sophia Devries on 25, Gordon Rankmore on 26 and Wayne Minney on 26.

Please note there will be some renovations adjacent to the second tee over the course of the next two weeks. Please check the notice board to check on the variations to tee placement for the second hole in mid-week and Sunday competitions.

All members please note that as of the 16th March the mid-week competition will finish at 1.00 pm on Wednesday afternoon. Cards received after that time will be placed in the following weeks competition. The current competition has the usual finish time of Thursday afternoon.

This week was a single stableford event with 25 starters. Winner was Andrew Balabka on 42 points. Runner Up was Bill Reid on 40 points. Bill also won the mystery hole voucher for The Goulburn Solar 3rd The Agency 15th and Scott Reid Plumbing 18th with a total of 9 points.  The ball rundown went to: Wayne Minney and Eddie Sivell on 39 points, Lindsay Sergeant on 37 points, Greg Robertson and Tony McLaughlin on 34 points and Russ Lieschke on 33 points on a 3 card countback.

This week was a monthly medal stroke event with 25 starters. The competition winner was Brynn Matthews on nett 62 who also won C grade. A grade winner was Tom Heath on Nett 67, B grade winner was Chris Elliott on nett 65. The ball run down was as follows: Chris Elliot and Greg Robertson on 65, Glenn Baxter and Ian Peterson on 66 and Tom Heath on 67 on a 2 card countback.

The Jackpot hole Argyle Cleaning 17th hole was not won and will jackpot next week . Nearest the Pin on the Workers Club 8th was not won this week. Drive and Pitch on the 12th hole was won by Mitch Cook.

This week was a 4 Ball Aggregate with 29 starters. The competition winners were John Smith and Ray Turner on 73 points. The ball rundown went to Bill Reid and Andrew Balabka on 69 points, Gary Spence and Chris Elliott on 65 points, Mitch Cook and Andrew Balabla on 64 points and Max Sakiasi and Roly Wong on 63 points..

 

The Jackpot hole Alan Bill Electrical 7th hole was won by Chris Elliott. Nearest the Pin on the Goulburn Soldiers hole had no winner this week. Drive and Pitch on the 11th hole was won by Tom James.

The ball rundown went to Russ Schmitt and Lyndsey Sergeant on 37 points,  Chris Elliott, Eddie Sivell and Tom Heath all on 36 points.

This week was the monthly medal stroke event with 23 starters.

 

Brynn Matthews was the outright winner with a Nett 60. Andrew Balabka closely behind with a nett 63. The ball rundown went to Gary Spence 66, Bill Reid 68, Tony Clewett and Alan McDonald 69 and Gary Handley and Ian Baxter on 70 in a 3-card countback.

 

The Jackpot hole was not won and so will jackpot next week. Nearest the Pin winner on the Mitre 10 5th hole was Greg Robertson. The Drive and Pitch was won by Ken Wray on the Lee & Thomas 13th hole.

 

Ray Turner won the raffle.

This week was a Single Stableford competition with 23 starters.

 

Max Sakiasi was the winner the outright winner with 42 points. Peter Gurr followed closey behind with 41 points. The ball rundown went to Tom Heath and Ian Peterson on 38 points , Brynn Mathews on 37 points and Wayne Minney on 36 points in a 3 card countback.

 

The Jackpot hole Was also won by Max Sakiasi, Well done Max. Nearest the Pin winner on the Goulburn Workers 8th hole was Alan McDonald. The drive and Pitch was won by John Smith on the Aarons Trees 12th hole.

 

This week also saw the mystery holes in play and Tom Heath took that out on a countback from several others on 8 points

 

Next week is the Monthly Medal.
