Tully Park Golf Club 7/5/2023

Last weeks Sunday Competition was a washout. Well done to the few brave souls who competed in the mid-week competition instead.

Sunday Competition

This week was the first round of the Foursomes Championships in which 12 pairs started. Leaders after Round 1 are Russ Schmitt and Alan Bill on 70 nett.

The ball rundown is as follows: Trent Cooper and Mac Fife with 71 nett, Tom James and Sam McDonald and Jon Gegg and Mick Rechterschot all on 72.5

NTP 1 on the Goulburn Workers 8^th hole was won by Chris Ryan.

NTP 2 on the Mitre 10 5^th hole was not won.

Drive and Pitch on the Carpet Court 16^th hole was won by Trent Cooper and Mac Fife.

Next week is Mother’s Day and a stableford competition.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole mid-week competition

A field of 37 starters braved mixed condition this week. Scott Sherer won on 25 points on a countback from Trent Cooper. The remainder of the ball rundown wen to Phil Heath Kim Fahey and John Smith on 22 points, Kerry Bensley and Mick Gray on 21 points and Daryl Robertson Ed Anning and Roly Wong on 20 points.

Ladies

This week was an 18 hole stroke and putting competition. A much smaller field than usual saw Ratna Rankmore take the honours in both the Nett score on 73 and putting with 30 putts. The ball rundown went to Heather Buchanan with a 76 nett.

Slater Drafting Par 3

The May round of the Slater Drafting Par 3 is on Saturday May 13. Tee off is from 7.30am to 11am. Cost $7/ player.

K & N Peterson Matchplay

Round 1 is underway and is to be finished by May 31. Still to play for round 1 are: R Turner v M Fife and W Minney v M Regterschot . Already lining up for round 2 are Simon Jiang v Andrew Balabka, Brett Buckley vs Trent Cooper. M Cook v R Wong, I Peterson v M Sakiasi, J Cooper v K Wray and B Reid v W Pull.

Sunday May 21^st is round 2 of the Foursome Championships. Remember to tee off on the opposite holes in this round.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole

Jon Gegg took top honours over the 34 player field with 27 points in last weeks Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole competition. On 23 were Greg Robertson, Trent Cooper, Kevin Breen and Eddie Hawkins, followed by Graham Todd, Stephen Rigby, Darryl Robertson and Lindsay Sergeant all on 22. To round out the rundown on 21 were Kim Fahey, Garry Handley, Tony Clewett and Phil Heath.

Ladies

Ratna Rankmore came in strong with 40 points last Monday to win the stableford event and tie for the Mystery hole with Beryl Gray and Georgina Cook each on 6 points for the Free One Building Design, Mandy’s Restaurant and Carpet Court holes.

The ball rundown included Beryl Howe on 31 points.

Slater Drafting Par 3

The May round of the Slater Drafting Par 3 is on Saturday May 13. Tee off is from 7.30am to 11am. Cost $7/ player.

This week was a Par event which saw 31 starters compete.

The overall winner was John Smith with a score of plus 2. Runner up was Gary Spence on plus 1 on a three card countback.

The ball rundown was as follows: Josh Cooper and Simon Jiang +1, Roly Wong 0, Ian Baxter and Garry Handley  om -1, Mitch cook , Russ Schmitt and Ray Turner on -3 in a 6 card countback.

Jackpot hole on the Goulburn Soldiers 9^th hole was won by John Smith

Drive and Pitch on the D-One accounting 11^th hole was won by Josh Cooper

The nearest the pin on the Jewell Builders 11^th hole was won by John Smith

33 starters this week with Jeff Edwards the winner on 26 points on a 2 card countback. The ball rundown went to: Gary Spence and Mick McDonald on 26 points, Malcolm Young Graham Todd and Marty Smith on 23 points, Ed Hawkins on 22 points and Garry Handley Chris Elliott Maxine Mclaughlin and Hayden Ward all on 21 points.

Ladies Competition 17^th April 2023

This week was an 18 hole stroke and putting competition

A Division winner was Heather Buchanan on 73 nett

B Division winner was Beryl Howe with 74 nett

Sunday Competition 16^th April 2023

A big field of 46 starters brave the weather for the annual Tully Park vs RSL 4BBB competition. The title for 2023 goes to Tully Park on 335 points to the RSL team on 322 points.

Best for Tully were Russ Schmitt and Alan Bill on 46 point and the best individual was Trent Cooper on 39 points. For the RSL team Danny Hogan and John Macca lead on 43 points and the best individual was Kerry Bensley on 36 points.

17 teams were in the ball rundown which went down to 38 points.

Nearest the pin on the Goulburn Soldiers 9^th hole was won by Russ Lieschke.

Drive and Pitch on the Lee & Thomas hole was Tom Heath.

The Jackpot hole on the Mitre 10 5^th hole was won by Russ Schmitt.

Ladies Competition 3^rd April 2023

This week was an 18 hole Stableford with 2 mystery holes.

A Division winner was Jenni Price with 35 points

B Division winner was Beryl Howe with 28 points

Mystery holes winner on the Goulburn Soldiers and ARW Multi group holes was Jenni Price on 6 points on a countback from Georgina Cook

The ball rundown went to Georgina Cook on 33, Lil Ryan on 24 and Maxine McLaughlin on 23

Sunday Competition 9^th April 2023

25 Starters competed in the single stableford event in cold, windy conditions. Mick Gray won the day with 35 points. Russ Lieschke was runner up with 32 points. The ball run down was as follows: Gary Spence on 32 points, Lindsay Sergeant and Ken Wray on 31 points, Simon Jiang, Kerry Bensley and Eddie Sivell on 30 points on a 4 card countback.

Nearest the pin on the Alan Bill Electrical 7^th hole was won by Mick Gray.

Drive and Pitch on the Aarons Trees 12^th hole was Kerry Bensley.

The Jackpot hole on the Priceline 2nd hole was not won and jackpots next week.

The mystery holes winner was Ken Wray with 8 points total on the 3^rd, 10^th and 15^th.

This week was a stroke and putting competition.

A Division winner was Heather Buchanan with a 75 nett

B division winner was Ruth Beveridge with an 83 nett

A division putting was won by Beryl Gray with 31 putts

B Division putting was won by Ruth Beveridge with 30 putts

The ball rundown went to Maxine McLaughlin 76 nett and Beryl Gray 77 nett.

Slater Drafting Par 3 Competition

The April round of the Slater Drafting Par 3 was won by Sophie Devries on 19 with the ball rundown going to Clay Woodbury on 26, Max Sakiasi on 27, Will Cohen, Wayne and Nicole Minney all on 29.

Sam McDonald and Tom James teamed up to take out the 2 person ambrose on Sunday with nett 62.75. Second place getters were Ian Peterson and Tony Clewett on 63.5. Making up the rundown Tom Heath/ Chris Ryan 64.5, Brett Buckley/ Anthony Rudd 65, John Smith/ Eddie Hawkins 65, and Simon Jiang/ Eddie Sivell 65.25.

 

Nearest the pin on the Mitre 10 hole was won by Tom James.

Nearest the pin on the Workers Club 8^th was Mick Regterschot.

The Jackpot hole on the Priceline 2nd hole was won by Tom James.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole mid-week competition 30th February.

Tony Grimston took top honours with 28 points last week with Angela Deacon close behind on 27. Malcolm Young made a respectable 26 followed by 25 for Tony McLaughlin. Garry Handley had 24, Jeff Edwards 23, on 22 were Greg Robertson, Eddie Anning, Max Sakiasi and Don Pennay. The rundown went to 20 on an 8 card countback. There were 44 starters.

Ladies Competition 27^th March 2023

This week was a stroke and putting competition.

A Division winner was Heather Buchanan with a 71 nett

B division winner was Beryl Howe with a 78 nett

A division putting was won by Heather Buchanan with 30 putts

The April  round of the Slater Drafting Par 3 is on this Saturday with tee off from 7.30am to 11am. Cost is only $7/ player and is lots of fun for a family challenge.

Sunday Competition 19^h March 2023

Congratulations to Max Sakiasi for his hole in one on the Mitre 10 hole last week.

With 17 starters for the stableford in the heat on Sunday it was Wayne Minney who took the winners prize with 44 points. Chris Elliott and Chris Ryan both had 40 and gary Spence took the final ball on 36. The Alan Bill Electrical nearest the pin was won by Tony Clewett  and Chris ryan won the drive and pitch on the carpet court hole.

Ian Baxter took the jackpot on the Mitre 10 hole at 3.6m.

Next week is the monthly medal Stroke round.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole mid-week competition .

Graham Mansfield had a countback win over Greg maskill on 26 points last week in a field of 35 starters. On 25 were Wayne blay, Kim Fahey, Alan McDonald, Stephen Rigby and Lindsay Sergeant. Dean hearne and Andrew Finlayson each had 24 and on 23 were Marty Smith and Tony McLaughlin.

Ladies Competition

Beryl Howe won last weeks stableford event with 38 points with Maxine Mclaughlin and Ruth Beveridge both next on 33. Ruth Beveridge took themystery hooles for march with 8 points on the BioCleanse, Goulburn Soldiers Club and Alan Bill Electrical holes.

Mixed Foursomes

Sophia DeVries and Tom Minney teamed up best for  the day with nett 65. Beryl and Mick Gray took second placed with 66. The ball rundown for the day included Julie and dean hearne 70, Bryan and Chris Norris 70.5, Jenni Price and Peter Gurr 71.5 and Tony and Maxine McLaughlin 72. Thanks to the Minney’s for their sponsorship of the day.

This week was a stroke event with 24 starters. Overall winner was Tony McLaughlin on 63, Runner up was Ken Wray on 64. The ball rundown was as follows Tom Heath 64, Max Sakiasi, Andrew Balabka and Alan McDonald 66, Greg Robertson and Chris Elliott on 67.

A big Congratulations to Max Sakiasi who shot a hole in one on the 5th  hole

Ladies’ competition for 6^th March. The winner of Division 1 was Heather Buchanan with 87 gross. Nett winner was Nicole Minney on 80 nett. Division 2 winner was Beryl Gray with a score of 106. Nett winner was Jenni Price with 79 nett. Division 3 winner was Beryl Howe with 115 and the nett winner was Ruth Beveridge on 70 nett. Putting competitions were won by Division 1 Heather Buchanan with 31 putts, Division 2 was Beryl Gray with 32 points and Division 3 was Beryl Gray with 35 points.

The ball rundown went to Maxine McLaughlin on 83, Ratna Rankmore on 81, Lil Ryan on 103 and Francis Miners on 101

Pennants

The Pennants team had a good win against Fairburn G.C. 5 – 1 and are still in the hunt for the finals.

Slater Drafting Par 3 Competition

Winner was Maxine McLaughlin on 23 nett. The ball rundown went to Sophia Devries on 25, Gordon Rankmore on 26 and Wayne Minney on 26.

Please note there will be some renovations adjacent to the second tee over the course of the next two weeks. Please check the notice board to check on the variations to tee placement for the second hole in mid-week and Sunday competitions.

All members please note that as of the 16^th March the mid-week competition will finish at 1.00 pm on Wednesday afternoon. Cards received after that time will be placed in the following weeks competition. The current competition has the usual finish time of Thursday afternoon.

This week was a single stableford event with 25 starters. Winner was Andrew Balabka on 42 points. Runner Up was Bill Reid on 40 points. Bill also won the mystery hole voucher for The Goulburn Solar 3^rd The Agency 15^th and Scott Reid Plumbing 18^th with a total of 9 points.  The ball rundown went to: Wayne Minney and Eddie Sivell on 39 points, Lindsay Sergeant on 37 points, Greg Robertson and Tony McLaughlin on 34 points and Russ Lieschke on 33 points on a 3 card countback.

The Jackpot hole on the Goulburn Soldiers 9^th hole was won by Brynn Matthews . Nearest the Pin on the Mitre 10 5^th hole was won by Andrew Balabka . Drive and Pitch on the Lee & Thomas 12^th hole was won by Alan McDonald .

A big field of 52 players this week. Eddie Hawkins won with 29 points. Ball rundown was as follows: Kerry Bensley 28 points, Lindsey Sergeant and Dean Hearne 27 points, Alan McDonald 26 points, Kevin Breen, John Blair, Ken Wray, Greg Maksill, Wayne Blay, Mick Gordon, Scott Sherer, and Ron Nunn all on 25 points, Grahan Mansfield, and Andrew Martin on 24 points and Corey Wilmot, John Smith and Andrew Balabka on 23 points.

Ladies Competition

Ladies’ competition for 27^th February this week had 8 starters with Heather Buchanan the Division 1 winner on 38 points. Division 2 winner was Beryl Gray with 40 points.

The ball rundown went to Ratna Rankmore and Georgina Cook on 35 points, and Ruth Beveridge on 34 points.

We halved the match against Crookwell 3 all.
