Tully Park Golf 12/01/2020

Sunday Competition

The Sunday Stableford Maximum 9 competition was won by Josh Cooper who finished with 28 as his best 9 scores for the round. The ball rundown included Mac Fife 27, Simon Jiang 25, John Smith 25, Ray Turner 24 and Dopn Grimston and Graham Tasker both on 23 on countback. Trent Cooper took the eagles nest on the Merino Fuels 3rd.

The Drive and Pitch for the Lee and Thomas 13th was John Smith and the Nearest the pin on the Goulburn Soldiers Club 14th was Michael Wilson.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole comp

Eddie Hawkins took home the $25 Goulburn Soldiers Club voucher with his 31 points for the 12 holes last week. Graham Tasker was next best on 27, Mark Berrisford came in with 26, followed by Brian Larkin and Ryan Saville both on 25, Russell Schmitt on 24, and Anthony Cooper and Malcolm Young finished the rundown on countback both with 23.

Slater Drafting Service Par 3

Beryl Gray started her year off well with a nett 21 for the January Par 3 event to chalk up her first win for the year. Ross Stacey also played well for his 23 and Elsey Slater finished 3rd with 25.

Tully Park Golf 5/1/2020

Sunday Competition

Simon Jiang was the top performer in Sunday’s smoky conditions with 41 points and the Capital Country Plumbing nearest the pin on the 7th in the stableford event. Jeremy Harrison returned 39 points followed by Ron Nunn on 38 Russell Schmitt 35 and Chris Elliott 34 on countback. Phil Elliott was the Gordon Hotel drive and pitch winner for the day on the 11th.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Comp

Wayne James led the way with 28 points last week just pipping Alan McDonald at the post with his 27. Mitchell Clarke returned 25 points while Ryan Saville and Don Grimston both had 24. Simon Jiang made up the rundown on 23 on countback.

Sunday Competition

The December stroke event and A grade monthly Medal winner was Russell Schmitt with a nett 66 on Sunday. Sam McDonald beat Alan Bill for the B Grade on a countback after both finished with 67 and Darrell Spence took the C Grade with 69. Don Grimston and Trent Cooper both finished on 69 as well with Trent also taking the drive and pitch on the Goulburn and District prostate cancer Support group 16th. Josh Cooper won the nearest the pin on the Mitre 10 hole.

 

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Comp

Darrell Spence has broken his drought and returned 28 to win on countback over Craig Langby. Kerry Bensley scored 27, Tom James 26 and Alan McDonald and Gordon Rankmore both had 24.

Sunday Competition

Alan McDonald won on countback over Mark Berrisford after both finished on 39 points in the smoky Sunday conditions. Ron Nunn had 37 ahead of Lachlan Bill and Phil Elliot, both on 36. Don Grimston was last in the rundown on 35 on countback. The nearest the pin on the Workers Club 8th was not won and Mark Berrisford was closest on Aaron’s trees 12th for the drive and pitch. Chris Elliott won the Mystery Holes for December with 8 points on the Goulburn Soldiers Club 9th, Chem Dry 10th and The Agency 15th.  

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Comp

Gordon Rankmore finished his round with 28 points over the 12 holes to place imself ahead of Bryson Plumb on 27, Elsey Slater 26 Lachlan Bill and Russell Schmitt both on 25 and Mark Berrisford 24 on countback. The Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole event runs every week of the year and only costs $7 so if you have a handicap come out and test yourself with a comp round.

Sunday Competition

John Smith scored a countback win on Sunday for his +2 in the Par event bumping Chris Elliott into second. Jeremy Harrison scored an eagle on The Agency 15th hole on his way to +1, tied with both Chris Ryan and Ryan Saville. Eddie Sivell took the Soldiers Club nearest the pin on the 14th and Phile Elliott won the Millenium Windows drive and pitch on the 1st.

Chris Ryan played well for his 26 points last week to win the $25 voucher from the Goulburn Soldiers Club. Malcolm Young and Stephen Rigby both had 25, Wayne James and Anthony Cooper each scored 24 and Don Grimston made the rundown on countback on 23.

Tully Park Golf 8/12/2019

Sunday Competition

The $500 Bi-Rite guessing competition was won by M Taylor, T James won the $200 second prize voucher and third of $100 went to J Fehir. Thank you to Bi-Rite for your generous support of the Tully Park Golf Club.

The 4 person Ambrose event for Gala Day was won by a hairsbreadth with Tom James, Sam McDonald, Ryan Saville and Ryan Wilson returning 53.5 to claim top spot while on 56.83 were the 3 player team of Trent Cooper, Josh Cooper and Mac Fife and third place went to Gary Spence, Jeremy Harrison, Phil Elliott and Chris Elliott on 54.

Phil Elliott was nearest the pin on the Mitre 10 hole and Ian Peterson won the nearest the pin on the Jewell Builders 14th .

Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped on the day.

John Peterson returned 30 points to lead the way for the 12 hole competition last week. Russell Schmitt came in on 28 followed by Ken Wray and Lindsay Sergeant both on 27. John Blair and Alan McDonald made up the rundown after a countback on 26.

Juniors

The Tully Park juniors had their presentation day on Saturday as they finished up for the year. Foursome competition winners were Zavier Smart and Ned Slater. Best putting for the day was by Solis Burns and the chipping was won by Elsey Slater. The Max McColl award for most improved went to Elsey Slater and the Barry Pengelly Perpetual Trophy for Junior of the Year went to Ned Slater.

Sunday Competition

Darrell Spence and Gary Handley teamed up for 50 points to help the Captains team to a win in the Captains vs Presidents 4 ball best ball event on Sunday. Don Grimston and Ken Wray made a tidy 48, Phil Elliott and Gary Spence combined for 47 and Ron Nunn and Graham Tasker finished with 46 for the countback win for the rundown. The Captains team made 274 to the President’s 251. Nearest the pin on the Captial Country Plumbing 7th was Chris Elliott and Russell Lieschke won the drive and pitch on the Goulburn and District Prostate Cancer Support Group 4th.

Mark Berrisford returned 29 points last week for his spot in the winners circle. Simon Jiang and Malcolm Young were the next best on 26 followed by Anthony Cooper, Alan Bill, Michael McPake and Alan McDonald all on 25. The rundown went to 24 on countback. The 12 hole Goulburn Soldiers Club competition runs through the festive season and can be played any day of the week.

Sunday Competition

Ryan Saville won the Gold Medal playoff for 2019 and the C grade monthly medal for November with a nett 65 on Sunday. Alan Bill won the B grade with nett 66 and Roger Podmore took the A grade with nett 68. Adam Boxsell was nearest the pin on the Mitre 10 hole while Russell Schmitt took the drive and pitch on the Lee and Thomas 13th. Mark Berrisford 69 , Don Grimston, Alan McDonald and Russell Schmitt made up the rundown on 70.b

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Comp

29 points for Graham Tasker was enough for a win in the 12 hole competition. An eagle on the Chem Dry 10th by Lachlan Bill helped him on the way to 27 where he joined John Blair. Alan Bill, Brett Cooper and Malcolm Young all had 25, Tony Clewet and John Peterson each made 24 and Lindsay Sergeant had 23 for a countback win for the final ball in the rundown.  

 

Ladies

The Tully Ladies closing day presentation saw heather Buchanan take top honours as the A Division Champion for 2019. Diana Schmitt was the B Division Champion with nett winners Ratna Rankmore (A) and Beryl Howe (B). The Medal of Medal Winner for 2019 was Joy Leary with a nett round of 67 for the day. Elsey Slater won the Most Improved Handicap for the year (down 5.6) and Most Improved Junior.

Tully Park Golf Club 17/11/2019

Sunday Competition

Adam Boxsell and Tracker Tahana teamed up for an impressive 57 nett to win the men’s division of the Charity Day at Tully on Sunday which raised over $2000 to be shared between the Goulburn and District Prostate Cancer Support Group, Goulburn West Primary School and St Joseph’s Primary School. Both of the school received over $800 from the event. Other winners on the day were the team of Royce Dockett and Rheannah Webb who won the mixed division with nett 68. Big thanks to Tradelink for the donation of a $200 voucher for the raffle which was won by Paul Clarke (who generously donated it toward the Tully Park course and bathroom renovations).

Second placegetters for the day were Jason Cook and Georgina Cook (68.5) and Trent Cooper and Jon Gegg (58.25) for the mixed and men’s divisions. The rundown for the day went to 61.75 for the men.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Comp

Scott Sherer climbed into the winners circle with 28 points last week to head up a strong field of 26 point players including Joy Leary, Lindsay Sergeant and Mick Gordon. Tony Clewett and Greg Maskill both had 25 in a rundown that went to 24 on countback.

Ladies

Heather Buchanan won division 1 in the stroke event with nett 72, June Spillane took out division 2. Ratna Rankmore and Beryl Howe took out the putting for divisions 1 and 2 with 27 and 25 respectively. Ratna Rankmore and Joy Leary were in the rundown with 75 each.

Sunday Competition

Adam Bruckshaw visited Tully and won the stableford event with a score of 39 on countback over Alan Bill. Simon Jiang played well for 38, Chris Ryan 36 and Mark berrisford and Ray Turner both had 35. Darrell Spence won the mystery hole prize for November with 9 points (on countback) on the Goulburn soldiers Club 9th, Argyle Cleaning 17 and Chris Ryan Plumbing 18th. Mark Berrisford won the drive and pitch on the Gordon Hotel 11th and the Workers Club 8th nearest the pin was not won.

Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole Comp

Alan McDonald returned from holidays full of vigour coming in with 26 points to win the Goulburn Soldiers Club voucher for last week. John Peterson scored 25, Judy Moran, Russell Schmitt, Simon Jiang and Elsey Slater all had 23 point rounds. Eddie Hawkins and Michael McPake made up the rundown on 22 on countback.

Ladies

In the Captain’s versus President’s event the Captain took honours winning 92 to 77. Individual winners for each team were Georgina cook with 34 for the captain and heather Buchanan on 31 for the President. Nearest the pins on the Mitre 10 hole were Ratna Rankmore and Heather Buchanan.

Par 3

In what should be a good season ahead for the Tully park juniors for their pennants season young Elsey Slater backed up her spot in the 12 hole rundown with a win in the par 3 event with a nett 22. Brother Ned was close behind on 23 and a consistent contender this year Alan Bill placed third with 24. The next Par 3 will be 11 January 2020 with Slater Drafting Service as the sponsor.
