Tully Park News 28-12-2014

Gordon Hotel Sunday Competition

This week the Gordon Hotel Competition was the Monthly Medal stroke and was taken out by club young gun Trent Cooper with a nett 64 to also win A Grade. Eddie Sivell 65 and Kerry Bensley 65 won B and C Grade respectively. The ball rundown saw Anthony Cooper 65, Bryan Norris 66, Russ Leishke 67 and Darrell Spence 68 grab a rock. Nearest to the pin on the Goulburn Workers Club 8th went to Ken Wray. Next week the Gordon Hotel Sunday comp is a stableford.

The club would like to thank all the volunteers that have been keeping the club running. Your efforts don’t go unnoticed.

 

Goulburn Soldiers Club Mid Week Competition

This week the Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole stabelford competition was taken out by Chris Webb with 25 stableford points. Bryson Plumb, Russell Schmitt, Brian Larkin and Tony Clewett picking up a ball in the run down. Don Pennay grabbed a ball with 11. Come down during the week for a hit the comp only costs $7.

Gordon Hotel Sunday Competition

This week the Gordon Hotel Competition was a 4 Man Ambrose with the gun side of Roy McNair Shane Cooper, Shane Jervis and Mick Gray taking out the mens comp with nett 53 1/4. The mixed comp was taken out by Ross Stacey, Col Eggins, Beryl Gray and Ron Nunn with 55 on a count back over Chris Webb, Rheannah Webb, Russ Schmitt and Judy Moran. Anthony Cooper, Trent Cooper, Josh Cooper John Gegg, Russ Leischke, John Blair, Eddie Hawkins, Gary Spence, Eddie Sivell, Tom Heath and Brian Mills all collected a ball. The club presentations were held after the golf with a great time had by all. The committee would like to thank all the volunteers for all their work throughout the year that keeps the course running. Next week the Gordon Hotel Sunday comp is a stableford.

 

Goulburn Soldiers Club Mid Week Competition

This week the Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole stabelford competition was taken out by club Vice President Mick Gray with 26 points. Glenn Wharton 25 and Brian Larkin 25 collected a ball with Don Pennay collecting a ball with 16 points. Come down during the week for a hit the comp only costs $7.

Gordon Hotel Sunday Competition

This week the Gordon Hotel Competition was the 4BBB Captain v President. The steam rolling duo of Brian Mills and Tommy Heath wrapped up another team competition win with 50 points. The ball rundown saw Mick Gray, Roy McNair, Trent Cooper, Shane Cooper, Graham Cave, Tonk Turner, Phil Elliott and Chris Elliott collect a ball. The nearest to the pins went to Tom Heath on the Goulburn Produce 5th and to Tonk Turner on the Goulburn Workers Club 8th. The eagles nest went off for the second consecutive week when Tom Heath holed out from 110m on the par 5 3rd well done Tommy. The results saw the Captains team collect the honors this year. Next week is the Gala Day 4 Man Ambrose followed by club presentations.

This week the Goulburn Soldiers Club 12 hole stabelford competition was taken out by Mathew Hyland with an astonishing 37 points to comfortably account for the field and collect the prized Goulburn Soldiers Club Voucher. Michael Hyland 31, Darrel Spence 28 and Wally Thorn 26 all picked up a ball for there efforts. Come down during the week for a hit the comp only costs $7.

Gordon Hotel Sunday Competition

This week the Gordon Hotel Competition was the November Monthly Medal in conjunction  with the Gold Medal Playoff for those who qualified during the year. Josh Cooper was the best on the day with a nett 62 to take home the Monthly Medal along with this years Gold Medal Playoff win and the Gordon Hotel voucher. The ball run down saw Tom Heath 63, Roy McNair 65, Don Grimston 66, Russ Leischke 66, Kerry Bensley 66, Eddie Hawkins 66 and Simon Jiang 66 all collect a new rock. The nearest to the pins went to Brian Norris on the Goulburn Produce 5th and to Tom Heath on the Goulburn Soldiers Club 14th. Next week will be a 4BBB Stableford Captain vs President.

A special mention to Raymond “Tonk” Turner who had that moment every golfer dreams of, that’s right a hole in one. This feat of golfing mastery was produced on the Tully Park sponsored 7th hole also earning him a heap of balls from the eagles nest. This will no doubt be the subject of a few stories at the pub for some time. Well done Tonk.
